I think it's a done deal once the convention's over.

The RWNJs are getting bolder now. Venturing into liberal strongholds to provoke trouble that Trump can blame on Democratic mayors. I saw a video of them on the Golden Gate Bridge at the weekend, hardly a Republican stronghold, goading locals into starting something and attacking black people. Armed cops showed up and the RWNJs pointed to the black people and called out to the cops to shoot them.

We were coming back from Santa Cruz to San Jose on Saturday and saw a squad of them standing on an overpass at Los Gatos, again, hardly Republican territory, waving flags and displaying banners claiming to be something called the Silicon Valley Trump club, or something.

The Kenosha shooter was not only from out of town, but out of state. The armed RWNJ troublemakers in Portland have been going around in their pickup trucks taking pot-shots at protestors with paintball guns, pepper spray, and various weapons to provoke a response. They are almost certainly from out-of-town.

Now the current RWNJ talking point is about the violence in "Democratic controlled cities." This is clearly a coordinated attack, a thousand little Reichstag burnings. It is a transparent attempt to cause violence and then blame it on Democrats in the hope that it'll persuade enough gullible swing voters in swing states that their town will be next if they don't re-elect Trump.

This is terrorism, pure and simple

The line between so called militias and so called law enforcement is getting thinner and thinner and thinner

I wonder where else this happened in history

The Black Lives Matter protests are righteous and just

White supremacists have no purpose for existence other than to inflict violence, death and chaos

Trump is openly a white supremacist

The head must be cut off the snake

He must be stopped

It would be difficult not to have a great chance of "winning" when you're openly trying to rig the election

One has to assume he will succeed in doing so

The incompetency of his competitor is what gives him a great chance.

I don't think he will. He won 2016 in 3 swing states- Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.
The Dems won them in the 2018 midterms. Plus women hate him. And he did SFA for American blue collar workers
whose life expectancy is still falling.

Trump has collapsed among college-educated whites

He's deliberately trying to whip up a race war in order to get enough working class white votes

Trying to create a race war, defining people of colour as "the other" and as a mortal threat to white people, in order to make race the defining issue on which white people vote, these are tactics that have been around since the 19th century

It's what fascists have always done

This is a failing strategy so the strategy now is to steal the election

sid waddell

Lukashenko, sorry, I mean Trump, is openly encouraging voter fraud from his supporters

But still some people are pretending to be labouring under the delusion that he's not planning to steal the election

You're not alone. The betting markets agree with you. Biden's lead in the betting odds has evaporated, it's effectively neck-and-neck. And it wasn't the convention bounce, the tide turned long before that and before Biden announced Harris as his VP pick. Some are saying it's the economy picking up. There's also news today that a Covid vaccine could be ready by late October / early November. The only silver lining I can see from this politically is that it'll shake Democrats out of any 2016-style complacency and focus their attention on the swing states, plus any down-ballot elections jobs like flipping the senate.

There it is. Trump back in the lead. Barely in the lead, but it shouldn't be this close. We need to get this Nazi out by a landslide so we can prosecute him and his criminal family, and round up the ICE agents who participated in kidnapping and human trafficking and bring them to justice.
