A few lads seem rattled that Everton can attract a big name manager and have serious plans in place for a new stadium

Great to see progress for the original club in the city
Fans of the neighbouring club have very short memories

Not sure of Ancelotti thing TBH.

If its a statement of intent of where they want to be and invest accordingly in the transfer market it could get interesting but if it's nothing more than window dressing then why bother..

One would assume that someone of his stature would take on a job like Everton having been assured that the required resources would be made available.

That's not a shot at Everton BTW; we're not even a decade on from when Liverpool were forced to take a punt on Roy Hodgson, while in 2013, top level managers were hardly queuing up outside the interview room either (it was Rodgers or Martinez, if I remember correctly). And I would assume Klopp had to be convinced the support and time was going to be there to allow him to succeed.

Fair fucks to Everton I say. Hope he gets them going.

The funds are there. I think something like this needed done for a statement. How long he lasts etc we will see. Strong rumours about ibrahomivic coming as he is ancelotti's mate. I hope not though at least would maybe give some more clout in the transfer market.

Zlatan is joint AC again so he won't be joining Everton. Recent financial statements suggest that they are not in the cash rich position that some might think and they are borrowing against future TV cash to fund purchases. That's not the greatest way to build a squad considering they need about 6-7 first team players to make the step from relegation area to challenging for top 4.

Are they borrowing against future earnings or buying players on higher purchase as appears to be the norm these days?

Everton could do with somebody who can head the ball into the net, yesterday against Burnley Gylfi Sig struck a host of  pinpointed set pieces from the right side/corner kicks into the box, yet no Everton player could attack the ball with any venom or accuracy.
