The Granda was looking for lottery numbers, when did it start?
Uk one started before 1995, I know that much. And Irish one before that. I had the same thought about anachronisms.

BennyCake

Uk lotto started late 94. Irish one a few years before.

Unrealistic episode as there's no need for a food stop between the bogside and the border! Sure it's 15mins away.
Maybe they were going the long way to Portnoo through Lifford...

Via Newbuildings? I wouldn't have thought so!

The diner at Toomebridge

Well, it looked like they were filming in New Barnsley so maybe they were on the right road...

What was the newsflash of at the end of tonight's episode? Thought it a poignant enough ending to show what life here was like back then.

1. A great episode
2. Wasn't a real incident, but based on Omagh due to scale

omagh was 98, series set in early 90s, but i suppose its not aiming to be historically accurate

Thought it was the Shankill bombing myself.  1993.  10 died (including the bomber), but the TV show referred to 12, so obviously just artistic licence.

Thought it was a great episode and look forward to a new series.
