The better half and I are going to start building our house within the next year or 2. We have got the land and roughly looking at around 100-150k mortgage to use for building.  I haven't a clue about building houses or any of that construction craic so I am looking a bit of advice. What would you do differently if you were going to build your house again? What are the latest things that you would include in a house (underground heating, solar panels on the roof for example)? Who are good men to use for getting a stone finish house? Is now a good time to build? Early days at the minute but we are looking to get on the ball early and try get some of it at least started. Sorry for all the questions lads, any advice would be appreciated.

Can anyone recommend some good wedding venues in the occupied six? Having a small wedding with about 40 odd people at the meal and then going to have a big 'do' that night. Its not until the summer  2012 by the way.

First episode was on in America at the weekend, getting great reviews as expected. I cant wait for it to come out on box set. Ive watched Band of Brothers box set about 30 or 40 times, if its half as good as that i will be happy. HBO are best in the business by a country mile for making TV programmes.

Does anyone know where i could download this or watch it online?? You can watch the first episode on HBO but think you have to be in an American region or something.

Anyone have a blackberry phone. I was thinking of getting one of Blackberry 9700 and was wondering if anyone has got this type of phone. I have been a nokia man for years and was also interested in the Nokia E72 which looks pretty similar to the Blackberry. Is a Blackberry worth all the hype?

Whos staying up to watch it? I wouldnt know a pile about the 2 teams though i do like watching american football. Is it worth staying up for and being clean wrecked in work tomorrow?

Im heading away at the end of the year on a trip around the world. Head from London to Dubai- Singapore-Phuket - Perth - Melbourne - Christchurch - Aukland - Los Angeles - New York and home for just over £1300 from Sta Travel. I mite try get miami in ther to. I was meant to be just going out to Australia but thought f**k it especially with that price.

I have asked if this includes taxes etc and it does. Just hope the c***ts dont have any hidden costs somewhere. Its going to cost some serious money to do it all but f**k it just finished uni and mite aswell do it now.

Does anybody know anything about these sorts of packages. What kind of bank account is best for this, i dont really want to be running about Singapore with cash. How much money do you roughly think i would need. Planning on working in australia for a good 6 months to raise funds for the second half of the trip.

Looking a new TV at the minute, 20-28 inch, LCD HD ready and preferably with freeview. Getting a PS3 so decided i might aswell go get the proper TV for the job. Anybody got any suggestions.

What is everyone getting for xmas. I dont know what to ask santa for. I will be getting the usual new pair of football boots but after that im stuck. I have told santa that i dont want a PS3 because i have my finals coming up in early January and i am going to OZ after i finish Uni at some stage so i wouldnt get the use out of it.

As you get older it gets harder to pick something decent, my da is almost impossible to buy for. I usualy get him a few dvds or something and then just steal them off him after hes watched them.

Any ideas?
