Clonoe were a bit like ardboe showed no desire guts or want to win. Change of the guard in tyrone football for a while no carrickmore clonoe ardboe for a while.

Tame display by Clonoe. No bite, or drive. Fianna better all over field and defence were outstanding. Will be real contenders. Clonoe still a young side and should be back.

I'm not a Clonoe man, but surely the issue is that Cassidy wants to play with his full team to prepare for the imminent championship match.  It's not about whether or not he has sufficient cover.

How is this so hard to grasp?

The early championship means that clubs can't adequately prepare.  This is why this pressure cooker scenario exists.

Again, why the need for an early championship?

Agendas at play.
Wrong !!!
You have an agenda as much as anyone does. Its about doing the right thing for each player in question. Trillick with limited resources went to Ardboe and played without two of their best players. Chances were they were going to lose without them but they still did the right thing by their players. Just because the county board doesn't give a sh1t about the clubs championship preparations it does not give managers a right to abuse players

Does it not make sense that the club, and its manager did the right thing by giving a lad almost a year out to properly recover from an injury he got at senior county football.

Then they go on to make an assessment that he was fit to play for 40 mins yesterday so the team can get used to playing with each other?

Having the luxury to arguably get away in a league game without him isn't much help if we're beat in first round of championship in a few weeks because of lack of preparation.

Don't know why someone would want to leave a managerial role to become a number 2. Would it not be considered a step backwards. Unless of course he is being promised the job when the current Manager moves on.

Would be surprised if he was offered never mind promised a job a year down the line. How many chairmen or committees are around long enough to make such promises? Plus Clonoe have had the taste of outside managers, doubt they'd go back in house any time soon

Poor start cost us dearly tonight,we were always chasing the game.Carrickmore always looked comfortable and were able to keep the lead.We got it back to 1 point but Carmen are experts at closing it out.No disrespect to Omagh but I hope Carrickimore win it now.You can only admire their battling qualities and their commitment to the jersey.

Gotta respect Carmen. Written off in all quarters despite being loosing finalists last year as well as winning last years league.

Can we not wait and see if it is going to work or not ,instead of jumping the gun and making predictions! Some amount of people with egg on their face if Tyrone come out and do well next year! also this is a club thread!!

Maybe it's actually the ideal appointment.

Mickey seems to be set in his ways about a lot of things as he has been in the job that long. You would wonder how much say his assistants had, or if they were willing to speak up about certain things.

Cant see his own son being afraid to pipe up to him. Might actually be just what's needed

You are getting stuck into them Errigal cnuts Knocker yer.Disgrace they can't field a reserve team.
Didnt get to u21s last night, typical referees give us nothing. Do you think we will take the clean sweep this year again, som of the boys are saying that this year is a failure unless we take ulster.
They say that is what Cassidy is telling them all the time.

Ha, I don't think Cassidy is as Stupid to be telling his players that. That's how you build yourself up for a mighty fall and from what I've seen from him, he'd be too smart and too shrood for that. Would I suggest you've started the Mind Games????

Mind games?? I think its more like stirring the pot. Pat the root is giving off here a lot like "pat the poultice" does on facebook.

I'd take his comments with a pinch of salt

I was in Garvaghey on a winters night and I saw a Polar Bear walking around it carrying a hot water bottle.

In the gym, you could not swing the proverbial cat around in it.  This is supposed to be a state of the art strength and conditioning facility but instead its a badly designed, not fit for purpose and demotivating monstrosity.

The weather conditions that the site is subject to would put any man off going to training.
I don't know whose unilateral wet dream the Garvaghey project was but the only people who benefit out of it are the good people at Kelly's Inn as it massively saves on their transport costs for food after training etc..

I don't know how the monstrosity will generate any sort of income to at least fund part of itself so it looks like its going to be a drain on the countys finances which has been reported to been the case.

Like Tyrone this season, its been a complete shambles.

Its not ideally situated, but what were the alternatives?

Does anyone actually know what it is costing, or whether it is a massive drain on the finances. I know club tyrone are frequently lauded as funding the whole set up etc. Plus I recall talk of getting government grants etc.

The idea is great and people behind it were obviously genuine in their hopes for it. If some things arent working its a bit rough to begin talk of scrapping the whole thing because an average enough set of players failed to progress to the latter stages of championship for first time in prob ten years.

wee bit of perspective people.

Check all my threads and you will see I never ever criticised micky harte or Pety harte so catch yourself on you CCC infused fart!

Check my post and you'll see I said a "few grumpy men". I was referring to a number of posters. I can honestly say I don't know one person on the ccc. I know they make plenty of decisions that aren't great but also appreciate they're trying to do a difficult job voluntarily so deserve some respect.

Wouldn't understand a whole lot of decisions which are taken by CCC. But on the other hand I wouldn't in a million years ever consider going on it and doing the work myself.

So redHandSanta is dead right. Give over complaining about people who are at least trying.

PS looking forward to a good Div1 Res Champ final tonight, any word on Ardboe team, injuries etc??

Petey harte broke his wrist in the game last night

How could that have happened? I thought no one was allowed to go near him or put a tackle on him

EC as bad as the ref was Errigal kicked it away. Clonoe  acted the tramps after the game roaring at Errigal as they left the pitch. Shameful stuff.

I know. We hit too many wides. Simple as that. That is why I'm so sick. We were the better team and more disciplined but left the shooting boots at home. I would expect nothing else from Clonoe.

Strong words boys: tramps... Expect nothing else.

Errigal were better team on the night and left it behind them.

Sour grapes. I would have thought poor losers starting a field fight at end as the can't take a beating is enough, but. I need for that kind of shite

One for thought. What would happen if some of the first round games involving a lot of county players, say Omagh/Coalisland for example were to finish in a draw.

Could the CCC give them a chance to play the replay with next County game on the horizon???
