Given all the money he's made in his career it would just show how greedy he really is if he made the move to China instead of the US.

How so MM?
Surely if he is making a move for money it is irrelevant if he goes to US or China.

Both poor standards and this time Next year China will have more big names than the US

No comparisons in the quality of life between the 2 countries. According to the reports the last few months his family won't be going to China with him.

Obviously he will be more used to Western ways of the world however with upwards of £750k a week in wages it should help him adjust and buy him a decent standard of living

NAG1

JM playing a very clever game with Rooney on this one, clearly showing him the door but not twisting his arm at the same time.

Boycey

Romero

Blind
Smalling
Rojo
Young

Carrick
Pogba
Fellaini

Miki
Mata
Ibrahimovic

Strong team..

The Stallion

Im not sure that front 3 works as a unit. All good players, but a bit more pace would be preferable.

Smalling, Young, Carrick and Fellaini are all rubbish.

Why do you think he moved to Man U, purely for the love of the jersey or the huge pay rise he got when he left Everton.

Greed drives professional football and professional footballers, its hardly ground breaking stuff.

Greed and ambition you'd like to think....

You reckon?

How many footballers have taken a pay cut to move to a club more likely to win anything?

Fingers on one hand springs to mind.

I said 'You'd like to think'. :)

In all fairness, most of the big money moves are to big paying, and thus fairly successful clubs. It's hard to a accuse a lad moving to Real, Barca, PSG, City or Chelsea of lacking ambition.

As for the lads who move to China or the US when they are in their prime (not saying WR is!!), then yes, serious greed over ambition. Oscar is one for sure.

How many times does that opportunity ever arise??

Mostly greed if you consider the performances for England

Yeah but if you are going to a club more likely to succeed the reality is they are *probably* more likely to succeed because they have more money and therefore will be able to pay more so it is very hard to back up that statement...

Captain Obvious

Ferguson would have sold Rooney in 2013 if he didn't retire. David Moyes gave him a extended contract when he was clearly past his best. Now four years on I think Rooney and his agent are seeking one last big contract before his retirement.
