Paisley won more and transformed them into the best team in Europe, but Klopp's transformation of the club was second only to Shankly in scale.

He's definite top three and arguably top two in the greatest ever Liverpool managers.

Started from a low enough base.  Changed the culture at the club and among the fanbase.  Left an indelible mark on the city through his words and deeds.  Won big trophies and lost big trophies, but got players to give everything. Liverpool were very lucky to have him and he was lucky to have Liverpool. Probably won't see his like again in my lifetime anyway.

Quote from: square_ball on May 20, 2024, 11:26:38 AMI see there a Ronan Strain being doing a bit of scoring for Drumquin in the first few rounds of Division 3. Is that the fella that played underage for Tyrone? I thought he was an Omagh man?
Yeah that's him, transferred to drumquin at the beginning of the year I believe. Not sure why?

Quote from: BrendanAntrim on May 20, 2024, 02:01:43 PMWhat do we think is a likely neutral venue for match v Sligo? Omagh looks to be about equidistant...wouldn't be too bad a choice for supporters to get to. Armagh maybe asking for a bit much, certainly hope its not Clones.

Celtic Park maybe

GAA Discussion / Re: GaaGo

re advertising and broadcasting rights, wouldn't GAAGO need a separate channel for the 26 county subscribers if they were to do adverts? I presume that's why there are no adverts.
I watched the Tipp Cork game on Sunday streamed on RTE but it stuttered, I switched over to the GAAGO stream, it was steady and with 50% more bit rate. I guess that there is less demand for the GAAGO when the game is on RTE, therefore the ratio of demand  v bandwidth provided is more healthy on GAAGO.

The Wicklow Laois game was decent enough quality. I wonder how many viewed it live and later on the player.
