I started this topic so maybe members can notify their clubs of the proposals before the Laois CCC on Monday, mainly that the Laois Senior Football Championship be reduced to 8 teams namely the 8 Quarter Finalists from 2017 championship.  Big changes afoot if this goes through.

Don't think this will go ahead , as if josephs, kilcruise or stradbally finish in the bottom 8 it'll definately be thrown out. Not a good idea to have less players playing senior football. The standard won't improve just because we put different names on it. They've done this in offaly and they're championship is still a poor standard with very average teams in and big score indifferences. Why would you have senior a and senior b when there's not really a big difference between all the club teams bar portlaoise. I mean stradbally were in relegation playoff in 2015 n win the championship in 2016, emo went went the other way.

Dead right. We need more teams in the SFC. In fact every club in the county should be playing SFC this year. That's about 40-odd clubs playing senior championship. Imagine the pick we'd have for the county team!?!

Errill v Rathdowney in the Junior C FC final? Pah! Put them in the senior and with all dem extra players, Laois will be brilliant. Have no relegation either, because we'll have 800 (and change) senior club players in the county. How could the senior team be anything but brilliant with that sort of set-up????

Laois bringing a motion to congress to sort out the All Ireland Football Championship.

Can't f**king sort out our own, but sure, lets tackle the big one in the meantime.
