Leinster Minor Football League 2016
The 'mark' will be one of three experimental rules to be trialled in the Leinster minor football league, which gets underway next month.
A maximum of three consecutive hand-passes will be permitted while there will be no back-passing to goalkeepers allowed. The competition is used by minor managers in the province to finalise their squads and to prepare for the championship.
The rules are being trialled to encourage high-fielding and to curb hand-passing.

Minors played limerick in a challenge today in limerick. Didn't get final score. Led by 4 at half time.
Minors beat Limarick today, don't know final score. Have played Westmeath twice in recent weeks, losing both by a few points. Also played Dublin last week, losing 5-13 to 1-13.
That's a bad beating by Dublin, we really have to up our game at minor level if we are to have any future for our teams moving forward.

Just to say, Laois had two teams v the Dubs one. At the end of the 'firsts' game, Laois were winning. Dublin let loose in the 'second' game.
Thanks for that Dave, didn't know we had two teams. I'm more optimistic now...
Playing Tipp in Crettyard on Saturday at 2. Decent team, I'm hearing.
Leinster Minor Football League result: Laois 3-19, Tipperary 0-8.
Great score to be putting up. Tipp are hardly as bad as the scoreline suggests. How good were Laois?
I hear Laois are fairly strong at this level this year, great win today.
Interesting rule changes in this, you can see the full rules here:

Who mentioned All-Ireland's? Just you!
A bit of a set back last week as they got off to a great start.
Still they can advance from the group with a win over Louth this weekend which takes place in Park on Saturday.
Great win for the lads today as they came from behind to beat Louth 0-17 to 1-8.
Is the final of this before the Dublin u21 game in parnell park on Saturday night?
The u-21's play Dublin at 2-00pm and the minors play Dublin at 4-00pm.
Both games are in Parnell Park on Sat 19/03/16.

Anyone know any of the players? Johnny Kelly from O'Dempseys is one I've heard of.
We had 3 starting against kildare diarmuid whelan. ciaran carroll and conor brennan
Alan Kinsella from Courtwood is on the squad. He's a forward, scored 1-6 of the 2-9 against Kildare.
Anyone at the Meath game on Saturday?
Very poor scoring from Laois. Were the conditions bad or was it just down to bad football?

It was an odd game. Laois led until the 55th minute. Both sides kicked a lot of wides but they got a run on us at the end and probably deserved to win really. We seem to lack depth off the bench as the subs made little or no impact really.
Have a great chance to get back into it though. Play Carlow Wednesday week and if they win that they play Kilkenny for a quarter final place.
