Would Rock be the most relegated club in Tyrone? Just happened to see they are in junior again this year, what's the story there just down tools the year after promotion?

There are a few clubs that bounce between leagues where they find the step up challenging and cant maintain that status.  Cookstown and Derrytresk would be another 2 that spring to mind over the recent years.  Wouldn't know if anyone keeps records regarding the most relegated clubs.  Maybe make interesting reading.

Dimishes some of their second Ulster title wins

Would the most relegated also be the most promoted!

Surely they played a bit before they got promoted to Senior that time?

None that are currently in existence.
Of the 2018 teams in Junior level, excluding Errigal thirds I think there's 12 clubs in the division whom have played at Senior championship level at some point in their history.

Dregish have won a fair few junior Championships in their day so would've made it up. Glenelly went up in 1983 and down in 1986. I think that's the only 3 years they were out of junior.

Dregish were in Division 1 for a season in the mid 1980's.

It's been told down the years up around here that Carmen are the only team in the county to never get relegated from Division 1.. I wouldn't be that sure of history books etc although I know we've never been relegated, anyone able to confirm if there's another team?

That's me told, I was born in 84 so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

bigtogs

Brockagh where senior 1970 they where Mountjoy Emmetts at the time... Eglish beat them first round of the Championship they scored 1 point only the whole game....

Club Rossa

Ardboe have been relegated once,1988 after being suspended after the row with Omagh.
We were top of the league at the time(after 4 or 5 games)but hadn't enough points to stay up.Struggled in intermediate in 89 with so many men suspended but won the double in 90,only dropping one point in doing so.

On a technical basis Errigal Ciaran have never been relegated from Division 1 in its existence though like I mentioned about Drumragh and Brockagh earlier, their lineage would be tied to Ballygawley St. Ciaran's who have played at Intermediate level before, they lost an IFC final in the late 80's IIRC.

On the basis of continious participation in the Tyrone SFC, Carrickmore have the longest record (since 1933) with Dromore next (since 1975). I think Omagh are after that. Worth noting though that during the four division league era both Dromore and Omagh had for a time competed in Division 1B.

Lost a senior final in 1989 to Coalisland.
