Portlaoise demolished Port . Port still have a lot of work to do. Already ominous signs as regards the gap between Portlaoise and the rest . This was without Holland , Healy, Flanagan, Seale, Rogers , A Kelly, Mulligan , Glynn , B Carroll , B Smyth, Dunphy, Lawless.Ronan McEvoy went off injured after 10mins. Cahillane and Bruno only played a half each too.The new guy Saunders looks like a decent player at fullback. Portlaoise could genuinely field two decent teams and still beat everyone else . Chris Finn is improving , Paddy Downey is improving , Young John Kavanagh and Jason Maher are too.

Tough game and for a very worthy cause but with a full round of club fixtures on saturday night and another round on thursday night 3games in 5 days seems alot to ask the county lads,can see a good few not togging for their clubs which wont go down well

Tough job to step into at moment,that gracefield team has lost alot if players through retirement,emigration and injury since last year.

Granted he is a clubman of mine but think robbie pigott is getting ahard time by some here,he wad giving a job of tracking murphy whereever he went and did that very effectively ,id imagine he was prob told to forget about getting forward.Anyone who seen port last year knows he has loads of football in him

You're right. Hands up. Shouldn't have singled him out. Don't like the look of the team at all. Just not convinced that Carroll, Piggott, Glynn are good enough. Hope I'm wrong.

A surprising and slightly uninspiring appointment ,would like to know full list of candidates wonder was others looking for payment and billy maybe not a factor.my main concern would be what knowledge he would have of underage scene in laois and will players bother going in with all the negativity surrounding it.

While im all for introducing new players ,id be slightly worried about playing so many at the one time especially in the backline

Cant see why he would. Be very strange, and disappointing if another club was trying to poach a player already at senior level.
