McManus is a fine footballer too. Monaghan are by far the best team Armagh have played in this league, You could see the confidence of winning Ulster last year has brought to the team.

Mayo v Dublin 1985 semi final. Kevin mcstay ( I think) pointed a 45 or free to level  for a draw.
I went with my da, (he is originally from Mayo). I was 9 years old.  We were seated in the hogan stand lower around the 45 closest to the hill.
Ive rarely gone to a game with so much excitement and tension since.

A group calling themselves South Armagh Republican Action Force claimed this in retaliation for the murder of 6 Catholics the previous night, the HET say that the Provos were involved, there is talk the British Army may have been involved. The sooner there is a Truth commission that SF have been calling for to try and resolve all these issues the better.

Nairac himself was even implicated as possibly being there on UTV tonight. The plot thickens.

Dunno why Brolly is having a go at Cavanagh for. He should be saving his vitriol for the referee instead for bottling it and not sending Cavanagh off. It was a blatant red card, Cavanagh did what he had to do, It should have been dealt with there and then.

Terrible decision for those who are emigrated and wished to see the games. Hopefully some sort of deal can be brokered between the Co board and D Newry.

Absolutely delighted for Donegal. Great county and great people. I'll be rooting for them in the final regardless of who they play.

I can usually just about listen to Sidey but today I had to turn it over to TV3 and a worse picture. Cringeworthy stuff in the extreme. His patter about Wyatt Earp and the OK coral was without doubt the worst piece of commentary I have ever heard.  Brutal and made my hangover manifest itself  into a fit of angst. Terrible commentator.

I have nothing but admiration for Donegal after witnessing the hammering they took in Crossmaglen two short years ago. The turnaround which they have achieved under Jim McGuinness is nothing short of miraculous.

Great performance again from Donegal. Incredible intensity and deserved winners. Head and shoulders above everybody else in Ulster, Fingers crossed you will be celebrating success in late September.

Two annihilations now in the space of a fortnight. I have to admit I feel sorry for those Down supporters (some of my relatives included) who made the trips to Clones and Croker to witness these one sided hammerings. It underlines the gap between the top 4 or 5 and the rest, when Down and Kildare can reach AllIreland Q Finals and get absolutely pummelled.
Ulster football is at so low an ebb now that Donegal could easily do 5 or 6 Ulsters in a row. They are head and shoulders above everybody in Ulster and the best of luck to them.

Mayos luck would have them playing Kerry, then Dublin, Then Cork/Donegal in the final. Handy enough run in ;D
