Time to get this one up and running.

Dublin out in front with wins against the toughest opponents in the group, vs Monaghan still on two points with an unlucky result in Armagh and a good, but ultimately 'not good enough', performance against Cork.

Monaghan shouldn't panic yet - there are definitely a number of games to target to pick up a few points. But this is one of our home games, so it would be good to see this being one of them. Unfortunately, having the game in a big open ground like Clones may negate some of the 'home' benefit (compared to having the game in Scotstown or Inniskeen for example), but it's good to have Dublin travel for a change - we've played at least the last 3 league games in Parnell.

Sure that was your best chance to get into Croke Park!
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

We've had plenty of games in Croke Park over the past few years. Probably as many as yourselves over the past 4 or 5. And memorable for the wrong reasons.

very tough game for dublin in prospect.
Bit of a bogey side for us. We're missing lads through injury as well.
Monaghan are slight favourites for this.

Right... Are they Kilmacud lads not back to help out with your ailing squad??

Farneylawd2011

I think Gavin Doogan got injured in a club game yesterday and will miss this one.  Not sure how bad the injury is but I heard from a spectator at the match that it looked like a bad ankle injury.
Would be a big miss considering how he has played in the first 3 league games

Some of them are - at least five are still unavailable.

Nice try.  ;)

We are missing 8 of last year's starting 15.

Monaghan have to be clear favourites for this.

Could be a moot point, will your starting 15 be the same as last year?  Seem to be a fair few staking claims.  Who's missing that will walk on to the championship team?  Is O'Carroll back? looked a tad ropey v Cross i thought.

Unless you've missed it, we're dealing with a fairly new team as well. And you're coming off the back of wins against Cork and Kerry whereas we've just lost to Cork and Armagh.

Anyway, we'll let Paddy Power decide: Monaghan 15/8 - Dublin 8/15
Case closed; now on with the game.

I thought you'd try harder than that. I can't see any agrument that Dublin be anything other than hot favourites for this.

Harder than what??

Facts are facts - we're missing a heap of first choice players - Dublin have started well but as everyone knows this is because Dublin are training properly whereas every other county in the country are wrapped in some 70's-esque time warp doing a couple of laps followed by a feed of pints  - when these other counties start training, they'll bate Dublin out the door.

Ok, you's are going to far at this. Stop it. Dublin are the only team in Ireland training correctly and are the only team in Ireland missing a host of players.  ::)  ::)

The only chance Monaghan have is if the Dubs stat navs stop working and when they leave the Motorway they get lost on way to Clones.
