Limerick were disappointing yesterday. They never looked like winning despite the extra man for 55 minutes and lacked the traditional Limerick intensity and aggression. According to Waterford local radio this morning the final venue most likely to be Limerick but will be confirmed in next 2 days.

If it's Limerick v Waterford final it will be Thurles but there's been talk in Waterford that if Tipperary win that Waterford management wouldn't be happy to give Tipp home advantage in Thurles for 2nd year in a row for Munster final against us. I think most Waterford fans would prefer final being in Thurles rather than Limerick which is the only other possible venue. It should be decided on next week after tomorrows game. Enjoy your trip to Ireland and if you've any other questions let us know here.

You're right joemamas. Lots of hurling analysts and fans are saying the same as sweeper system leading to less space and then less goals in matches. Overall happy with win yesterday and Austin Gleeson was great to watch with some superb scores 5 from play and a sideline cut at a crucial stage in 2nd half when Clare has cut lead to 4. Waterford kept going till the end and defended well when Clare were looking for goals and was a comfortable enough win in the end.

Waterford hurlers with 4 Munster titles between 2002 and 2010 and a National League in 2007 but only made it to one All Ireland final where we were hammered by Kilkenny. Hopefully the new team which are showing promise and already have a League title can do it as 1959 is a long time ago!

Waterford v Clare part 3 on Sunday in Thurles. It's so hard to call after how close the league finals were. Waterford will feel they left it behind them the last day in the league final although Derek McGrath claims revenge won't be a motivating factor.
Hopefully it will be a similar game to the 2nd game in Thurles with a different result! A win puts team in Munster final and automatic route to All Ireland quarter final so the stakes are high.

It was frustrating to lose that game after leading the whole way. Jamie Barron outstanding  again for Waterford while Tony Kelly won it for Clare on his own. Waterford fans very annoyed  with Diarmuid Kirwan decisions in final seconds and also felt equalising free went wide. Davy Fitz was a disgrace on sideline coming on to pitch roaring about a head high challenge  that saw Austin Gleeson go off with a cut. He did not think it was a free! That should have been a card as well. Great game compared to last week. We will be looking for revenge in a few weeks after having league title snatched from us.

That was Tom Devine. He had 2 good goal chances in extra time that he didn't take but made an impression again when he came on and could be pushing for starting place next week.

Great result from Westmeath but shocking for Offaly who won an All Ireland less than 20 years ago and now are being beaten by 14 points by Westmeath which shows how far they have fallen. Well done to former Waterford manager Michael Ryan.

I thought it was a poor game until near end of normal time. Everyone was grumbling about it in Thurles at half time with score at 0-6 each and Waterford hit some awful wides from play and frees especially in first half. Very few goal chances until extra time. Extra time was good as play opened up and teams starting hitting the ball long instead of the short passing. I doubt if either manager wanted a replay and neither did club fixtures people but we'll be back at Thurles next Sunday for part 2 of the three part trilogy.

Yes but some posters earlier in thread were blaming umpire who was only doing what he was told by referee and also Louth for not being further ahead for what happened. A good referee would have properly consulted with umpires instead of telling them what to do.

I saw this programme. It was very unfair on Louth especially as they hadn't won a Leinster final for over 50 years and who knows when they'll next be in a position to win one. Referee at fault for not spotting Sheridan carried ball over line and then not properly consulting with umpires. He just went in to tell them to put up green flag even though umpire didn't put it up first as he clearly saw the goal was illegally scored.

Two handy enough wins for Waterford and Clare yesterday. It was point for point in first game until half time but Waterford improved in 2nd half and once we got first goal from slightly fortunate penalty we pulled away. Clare were very good, tackling hard and not letting Kilkenny have any space or time while taking their scores at other end. Kilkenny won't be happy with soft goals they conceded in first half with keeper and defender getting in each others way. Jackie Tyrrell taken off after 20 minutes as well. Waterford v Clare meet in final in 2 weeks and then in early June in Munster championship so interesting games ahead.

Good game in Walsh Park yesterday. The ground was hard after recent dry weather which made it easier to hurl than earlier league games. I thought Galway would win with all the changes Waterford made but Waterford did well and some new players have put themselves in the frame now. Waterford were holding a 2 or 3 point lead all most of 2nd half but Galway hit 4 points in a row to go ahead going into injury time but a superb long range point by Gavin O'Brien levelled it. Waterford missed a chance to win it after that. Shane Bennett was superb with 0-6 from play. Paraic Mahony came on with a few minutes to go for his first game in 10 months after his leg break last year.

JJ Delaney was on last weekend and Ken McGrath is on this Sunday and should be repeated Monday at 8. I'm looking forward to that.

Good start for Waterford, top of the league. No goals scored for 2nd game in a row is a slight concern but not many goals being scored in general over last 2 seasons in hurling. Anyone know where I can see fixtures for rest of league? I can't find them on main Gaa website as says no league games in next 10 days and Waterford GAA website doesn't appear to have them either. That website isn't the easiest to find your way around.
