Dont worry O'Se will be back in the fold as soon as his finger injury clears up.
They may be stubborn and tough but they are born winners and would do anything for the Kingdom and hopefully Darragh is not going to walk away from a chance of winning a 5th AI medal.

hard to believe tralee cbs have never won the colleges sf final despite been a hotbed of football for decades and having won the munster crown no fewer than 16 times. with all the all irelands medals in tralee we must be late developers! anyway good luck to my alma mater today, hope thay can pull it off......

The guy who ran the Kerry GAA website took a backseat after the All-Ireland last year and the site has suffered as a result.
It went 6 months without being updated and now the updates are slow and the forum isn't working as all.
It's a shame really as the site used to be excellent, I used to get all the Kerry teams emailed when they were named, county league tables updated, draws emailed the works.
Was on of the best GAA sites out there.

The Kerry selectors have made one change in personnel and several positional switches for tomorrow night's Munster MFC semi-final against Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds). Bryan Russell takes over in defence from Brian O'Leary. The Spa youngster will play at left corner back with Denis McElligott moving out to left half back in O'Leary's place.

All positional switches are in the forward line where Barry John Walsh, Timothy O'Sullivan and Patrick Curtin keep the same places. Kevin Flynn now leads the attack, with Jamie Doolan moving to left full forward and Eoin Kennedy to the right corner.

Reports from The Examiner
A NUMBER of Kerry's big name stars gave manager Pat O'Shea plenty of reasons for cheer in yesterday's first round championship action.
Mike Frank Russell hit 2-5 as Laune Rangers brushed past John Mitchels in Killorglin yesterday.

The Tralee side started brightly and led 1-4 to 0-4 after 26 minutes their goal coming from wing back, Cathal O'Sullivan. But former county start Liam Hassett kickstarted the Rangers comeback and the hosts led by a point at the break (0-8 to 1-4).

Russell then took over and gave an exhibition of point scoring as his side recorded a 2-21 to 1-9 victory.

One of Russell's intercounty colleagues, Donnacha Walsh scored the goal which inspired Mid kerry to victory over Feale Rangers (2-12 to 1-7).

Ex county man Eamon Fitzmaurice blasted home a penalty for the losers inside the opening minute. But the north Kerry outfit went over half an hour without a score while the winners were much more economical with their possession.

East Kerry, managed by former boss Sean Counihan romped to a facile 0-17 to 0-8 over Shannon Rangers at O'Rahilly Park, Ballylongford yesterday.

From the outset, John Paul Brosnan and Donal Daly dominated midfield while Seamus Moynihan patrolled the half back line with typical brilliance and East Kerry were never troubled.

Two second half goals from Paul O'Connor and John Joe Brosnan fired Kenmare into the third round of the Kerry SFC at Annascaul yesterday.

West Kerry were without two key players, Genie Farrell and Neil Sheehy and struggled as they slumped to a 2-5 to 0-9 defeat.

Footballer of the Year Kieran Donaghy wasn't called into action as Austin Stacks enjoyed a three point win over Kilcummin (1-9 to 0-9). Donaghy who suffered a serious shoulder injury in the NFL away to Donegal was amongst the substitutes for the Tralee side who led 1-4 to 0-5 at the interval after Mickey Collins' 14th minute goal.

The Kerry manager was at Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney watching his former charges, Dr Crokes easily overcome Dingle (0-16 to 0-7). The game never sparked to life and Crokes with Colm Cooper and Kieran O'Leary impressing, were full value for their victory.

An Ghaeltacht 0-15 Rathmore 0-10
"TOO powerful" — that was the apt summation of Rathmore coach John Fintan Daly after watching his charges play second fiddle to a quick-moving An Ghaeltacht outfit in the first round of the AIB Kerry SFC on Saturday.
There were times when Gaeltacht threatened to steamroll through this opening-round clash and, had they been more focused with the final pass in the opening half, they might well have done so.

But some astute changes in the second half put more pep into Rathmore's play and suddenly An Ghaeltacht found themselves in a match, although, it has to be stressed, one they were never going to lose.

Gaeltacht led 0-4 to 0-1 after the opening quarter and while Michael O'Riordan was Rathmore's main threat up front, county stars Aidan O'Mahony and Tom O'Sullivan were failing to exert any dominance in an overworked half-backline.

Thus, the forward division was starved of quality possession and with Darragh Ó Sé and Ronan Ó Flatharta — now at midfield following an injured to Rob MacGearailt — hugely influential, it was one-way traffic.

Gaeltacht led 0-9 to 0-3 at the break but Rathmore's move of O'Mahony and big John Buckley to midfield was a good one and certainly the Kerry defender's determined play broke the stranglehold of Ó Sé and Ó Flatharta.

O'Mahony soon joined Darragh Ó Sé in referee Tom Lynch's notebook as things began to hot up, and certainly the Gaeltacht outfit didn't like a lot of the Kerins O'Rahilly official's decisions.

Entering the final quarter Gaeltacht still led 0-11 to 0-6, and the closest Rathmore, who must now come through the back-door system, came to Gaeltacht's lead was when they moved within three points in the 56th minute as Damien Casey kicked two fine efforts.

In other first round games on Saturday, Kerins O'Rahillys were put to the pin of their collar to claim a 0-15 to 0-13 victory over Milltown/Castlemaine. Kerry's Michéal Quirke inspired the Strand Road outfit, who trailed going into added time, only for Declan Quill's fourth point to force extra time.

In that extra period O'Rahillys outscored their hosts by 0-2 to 0-1 in each 10 minute half — Quill with two points, while John O'Connor and Rory Molly also found their target.

All-Ireland IFC club champions Ardfert had a winning Kerry SFC debut at Lerrig with a 3-5 to 1-10 win over Legion.

The result also secures their senior championship status for next season, while Legion have to take the backdoor route to avoid the trap door.

Ardfert coach Pat O'Driscoll may have made GAA history at Lerrig. After managing his club side to victory, he then coached St Brendan's (now without the Ardfert players) to a surprise, if deserved, 1-14 to 3-6 win over St Kieran's.

SFC Round 2 (Losers in Round 1) w/e 20/5/07 (Scores from Aertel so dont blame me if they arewrong)

Club
Kilcummin 0-12 v Rathmore 0-10
Miltown/Castlemaine 0-14 v Dingle 2-08
Legion  0-16 v John Mitchels 1-06

Divisional
Feale Rangers 2-12 v St Kierans 0-08

So the draw for the final 16 in round 3 will include 9 club sides:
Laune Rangers (Rd 1 winners)
Austin Stacks (Rd 1 winners)
Dr Crokes (Rd 1 winners)
An Ghaeltacht (Rd 1 winners)
Kerins O'Rahillys (Rd 1 winners)
Ardfert (Rd 1 winners)
Kilcummin (Rd 2 winners)
Legion (Rd 2 winners)
Miltown/Castlemaine or Dingle (Rd 2 winners)

And 7 Divisional sides
South Kerry (bye to Rd 3 as champions)
Mid Kerry (Rd 1 winners)
East Kerry (Rd 1 winners)
Kenmare (Rd 1 winners)
St Brendan's (Rd 1 winners)

From here its an open draw I believe and a straight knockout to the county final.
Losing clubs from round 2 will play off to see who holds onto senior status for next year.
