Lucky its only India in the next game.

When I saw we had a run chase of over 320, I thought "Ah well".  Me of little faith.

Was that the highest run chase we have successfully achieved?

What sport is next up? We haven't defeated them at something surely.

If the ICC get their way the format will be altered for future WC's, hopefully results and coverage like today will help them change their mind.
Brilliant stuff.

I'm impressed at they way them lads can pull on a ball.

If you'd gone over the hill from Bellewstown to the Naul, they'd have shown you how.  ;D

Yep - The Naul, Balbriggan, Balrothery, Bog Of the Ring - cricket strongholds all. Bellewstown too one time, though not in living memory. The infield of the racecourse is called the Cricket Bank.

Great stuff. There won't be a cow milked in Dalkey tonight!.

I was hoping O'Brien could stay in and bring it home, but it was also appropriate to see Trent coming in. After all it meant that England were downed by Ireland's last 3 Batsmen.

It's Ireland's highest run chase

It's the highest run chase in WC history

It's the fastest WC century

Bingo

Great to see the Yellow breaking news banner on the Sky website with the headline "Ireland beat England at Cricket"  ;D  ;D

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open
