Who won it?

India posted a big total but England were cruising with 10 overs to go. They then proceeded to try and throw it away but fought back at the end to get a tie. bit of an anti-climax actually.

It was a tie. India were 338 all out. You'd think England would have no chance but Strauss put on 158 and they only needed 58 from the last seven overs. England collapsed to the point that they needed 29 from two overs with only three wickets in hand. Bresnan got two sixes in the second last over but then was bowled. That left them needing 14 from six balls. Shahzad hit a six off the third ball to leave it five from three. England needed two off the last ball to win. They only got one. Pulsating stuff.

Cheers lads. Sounds like right craic. I must watch the highlights tonight. The Indians are nuts about cricket. There were 3 CRICKET (not sports) channels on the hotel TV when I was in Delhi. 24 hours a day cricket on 3 channels. Nuts.

Brilliant game. Ended up flicking between that, the soccer, and the Gaelic.

going to be some chase for Ireland. England batted all 50 overs and ended up 327 for 8.

Ireland lost a man on the first ball of the second innings, and have lost another wicket just now. Currently they are on 64/2, after 11.3 overs

Highlights at 10.00 tonight on BBC 2.  A sensible hour at least.

Kevin O'Brien restoring a bit of Irish pride with a great batting display - just hit the longest '6' of the tournament so far. Need 106 from 88 balls
