there will be no transatlantic flights this tuesday and wednesday. I'm on holiday in New York at the moment and I'm due to fly home this wednesday night. Does anyone have any up to date details on the proposed strike or where I could get cheap accomodation in New York at such late notice?

What do you mean by cheap?

You'd probably get the likes of the Holiday Inn for $150-200 per night.

My parents are out for 2 weeks, there suppose to be going home thursday...earliest flight they can get is next monday,look up hostels in the upper east side there about $60-$70 a night
