What a night. Couldn't have imagined such a result.
All this talk that the tie is over is nonsense though. Massive performance needed in the 2nd leg. The tie is far from over.

Dunphy singled out TAA as Liverpool's weak link before the game. I thought he was superb.
Liverpool can lose the 2nd leg 4-1 and still go through..

Class and dignity from Liverpool supporters outside the ground tonight

Why weren't a few scumbags arrested or the riot squad deployed?

Bit stupid of whoever organised the welcoming party.  Was only going to go one way when flares are used making it look like a battleground.

On the plus side my outside bet on Liverpool to win the UCL at 12/1 last week looks much better value tonight.  ;)

City now 20/1 for the punters out there.

Go on The Ox

Foot like a traction engine.

Love those type of shots where the ball is still rising as it hits the back of the net.

A great night for liverpool. City didn't even have a shot on target. 3-0, it should be enough to see Liverpool through.

Not quite true. City had a goal ruled out for offside later in the second half when a strong case could be made for Sane being on when the pass was made. Typically the RTE lads didn't pick up on it in their haste to harangue Citeh.

heganboy

There were quite a few offside calls in Liverpool's favour today...
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

Taa was unbelievable.

Best game in the Liverpool red for him. Thought Milner was deadly as well, the shift he puts in is unbelievable.

Pity about a few dicks behavior before the game as it has taken the edge of the win slightly.

I'd be resting as many as I can at the wkd bar Henderson.

TabClear

Just read the full story about the bus attack. f**king assholes. Hopefully they get identified quickly and banned/prosecuted. The atmosphere inside the stadium is rightly applauded as one of the best anywhere on big European nights and tossers like those people who attacked the bus detract massively from that reputation.

Yeah a shame a couple of idiots have to ruin it for everyone else.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

So it is true then?  ???
If the goal was ruled out then it doesnt count as a shot on target surely?
Certainly lucky , in that it could have been allowed, but it wasn't so....
