Liverpool never looked like they'd real belief they'd make a game of it. That was like a pre-season friendly. No intensity.

There's a bit of mental baggage with Madrid at this point. The lack of intensity, like so many games this season, was throughout the team.  Again for their goal there was a lack of sharpness in closing down the initial pass and VVD didn't react quickly enough to get the ball away from Jnr.

VVD was caught in no mans land trying to get to Vinicius Jnr after he strolled past TAA. He then had to leave Benzema and you just don't do that...

Is it any different to Kilkenny versus Limerick? If you don't have the players...

Doing all right so far.

Showing plenty of balls playing through the lines and tight press.

Unfortunately it's when teams sit back and don't press that Liverpool have the biggest problems this year.
