Quote from: nrico2006 on November 26, 2023, 08:18:15 PMTaylor lucky to not get points deducted for constant holding. She is a brilliant role model and sportsperson, but there are too many times where it's like charity boxing where she just stands and flails with her opponent as opposed to hitting and not being hit. She also spends a lot of tye later rounds in every fight staggering about.

I thought she was in more danger of a deduction for leading with the head. It happened a lot in the first few rounds.

Not sure about the knockdown you don't normally get one from a jab but it's possible if she was caught in the right spot.

Quote from: thewobbler on November 26, 2023, 08:47:58 PMTwitter wants to blame the coach and the committee for this nonsense.

But the reality is that it's only possible to come up with a set of rules like this if there's a core of players driving it.

Do you think so?? Jesus I'd hope not you'd hope that you're able to reason most of the above out with your team mates. Also why would you banish someone who's heading away? Surely if they're good enough you keep them until they go?

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure Glen have had a few lads travelling at different stages in the past few years and haven't subscribed to the above nonsense.

No soccer or golf? Jesus!

Also whatever about the nonsense of it how is this being circulated? You'd have it on a powerpoint or get the lads to sign a hard copy at a meeting there's no way that should be available for distribution around Ireland!

100% a free it was a lazy tackle against the Scotstown player who was moving away from goal no need to make it!

Cracking fair play to Brennan on the 45 he'd droppped 2 short before that great kick.

McCarthy well used to breaking for the deciding score fair play to both teams.

Good result for Glen too!

That was f**king phenomenal!

I didn't give her a chance after the last time but the bravery to come back and overturn it like that is something else.

The definition of a hero and role model I'm so delighted that she was able to do it.

The atmosphere in there sounded crazy it would have been some occasion!

Think this is the last fight before Katie I'd reckon it'll start around half 10.

Watched a few films recently.

Manodrome - About a vulnerable adult getting recruited by a celibacy cult. It was weird and not that good. A shit Fight Club 3/10

The Killer - Inane shite. Boring plot with little dialogue and a crap storyline. A shit John Wick. 4/10

The Burial - Good craic with an interesting story. It's not going to win any Oscars but it was a good story a solid 7.5/10

Pain Hustlers - It was grand and passed some time without massively offending me. Dopesick is better 6/10

Nyad - Really interesting story about an interesting character. It maybe isn't everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed it. 7/10

Fargo - Rewatched it after maybe 15 years. It's class if you haven't seen it you should watch it. If you have you should watch it again! 9/10

Quote from: snoopdog on November 13, 2023, 07:47:37 PMCan get gaa tops in shootjersey.vip for 25 euro. Not sure on quality though colours might be hit and miss. The soccer jerseys are top notch though.

That'll help keep jobs in the North West

I think the issue is price.

O'Neills are ripping people off is the common preception.
Oneills gear I believe is made in Asia.So they could be doing kits a lot cheaper than they are. The only saving grace they are forn2 seasons not like the soccer 1 season kits.
Kits are all made in Ireland. And all fabric is made in Ireland.

Are they definitely? I know all "playing" kit has to be made in Ireland but I wouldn't be so sure for replica geansai for the normal punter, I'd say that's an Asia job!!

It's getting that you have to save up for a night in a City now. Sure if you take the Mrs it's £10 a G&T or £15 for a cocktail. It's just not that worth it anymore!

Home is getting as bad too and the price isn't coming down anytime soon! The Govt seem happy enough for all the bars to disappear.

Quote from: Deerstalker on November 13, 2023, 10:03:42 PMIs £200 steep for a service, spark plugs, oil change & filters ?

New mechanic and he's a bit dearer than the last one. Just wondering what the ball park is these days for a service.

I would have said £200 is about right.
