Quote from: Armagh18 on May 12, 2024, 09:57:06 PMOne today there- we had a kickout, Oisin O'Neill won it and was fouled and from the free he played the ball back to the goalkeeper. Is that allowed or should it have been blown up as no one else had touched the ball?
Perfectly legal. Free kick is a new phase of play

Quote from: Itchy on May 12, 2024, 05:37:01 PMDonegal will be very disappointed not to get a shot off in that last minute.

Had time. Had the time. Farted about with the lateral passes until time was up. Even if you take a shot there and the ball goes dead Armagh wouldn't have had time to gp up the other end. Why why why didn't one of them shoot?

The time wasn't up, ref blew it early

It was exactly 3 minutes, which is what he declared for injury time

Not from where I was watching it wasn't
Where were you watching?

Quote from: Nanderson on May 12, 2024, 05:44:13 PMDoes this game go to penalties if a draw after extra time?

Yes.
If it does probably be quicker just to award donegal the match rather than taking the pens :-X

Quote from: From the Bunker on May 12, 2024, 12:54:50 AMIsrael considered the most hated country in Eurovision... yet ended up with one of the highest volume of public votes.

Your daily reminder that social media is not an accurate reflection of reality.  :-\
How did they manipulate the public vote, by hook and by crook I assume.

People who wanted to support Israel made an effort and used their phone.
Supposedly this was expected as a lot of regular Eurovision fans refused to vote in it. Would be interesting to see total votes cast from last year to this year

I expect Israel to have been given 12 points by the UK
Confirmed. Massive right wing media pushing people to vote for Israel

Quote from: balladmaker on May 11, 2024, 07:16:08 PMThe iPhone camera took some amazing pics last night, it seemed to pick up the colours a lot better that the human eye .... without the camera pics, it would just have looked like a bit of grey/white haze from my viewing point .... maybe too much light pollution
The long i was outside the easier it was to see with the naked eye. Although thats the main beneift of living in the country. Expecting it to be a bit more northernly tonight so won't be as easy to see

3 wins and a draw for Celtic against Rangers in the league this season. That's the winning of the league right there

Quote from: square_ball on May 08, 2024, 10:49:14 PMLinesman shouldn't have flagged but Madrid players had stopped playing before the ball ended up in the net so who knows how it would have panned out.
The linesman flag carries no weight, players should only play until they hear the ref's whistle.
In any VAR the linesman's flag would be ignored.
The linesman isn't meant to put their flag up until the end of the play even if there is suspicion of offside. It was a massive error. The player does look marginally offside but it's hard to know for sure unless they use the technology. Also the champions League offside system is vastly superior to the prems

Wha?! Clear foul.
Most obvious foul in the box you will see. Especially since it gave Nacho the space to kick the ball onwards towards the goal

Quote from: AustinPowers on May 07, 2024, 06:37:51 PMI was hoping Ireland  would boycott it  so we wouldn't be subjected to  that act representing the country.

Upsetting your little narrow mind?
Aw diddums

No, but this country has some great musicians and singers. The fact that this was the best  they could come up with  is  bonkers.
We've sent good musicians before. We've sent a LGBTQ act that resonates with a lot of what eurovision stands for. We've sent good singers. We've sent popular social media acts. We've sent a god damn turkey. We've now sent something completely different to what we've ever sent before and it actually stands a decent chance of doing well on the left hand side of the board for first time in a long time
