Is it not a very different kind of role though? McErlain obviously very good with youngsters but senior setups very different. Just a different skillset really.

White lotus not too bad but I guess not as good as previous. They're really building it up so really hoping for big things last few episodes.

In what way am I wrong? Antrim deprived the Ulster council of revenue. You may think that is a good thing, but you cannot deny it.

Boylesports  odds for reaching Ulster final

Donegal  4/7
Armagh 4/5
Tyrone 11/8
Monaghan 7/2
Derry 4/1
Down 6/1
Cavan 14/1
Antrim 33/1
Fermanagh 33/1

Boo hoo.

Quote from: Gaels1789 on Today at 08:29:35 AMFew men on this very quick to throw a team under the bus, look the got a good trimming by a team who could win Ulster.

That's just where Antrim football is at now, if they win on Saturday a few on here soon change their tone on the whole thing
Scoring 2 points in 65mins and losing by 30 odd points is not a trimming it is a complete massacre. I wouldn't be sore on the coaches of this team, what do people expect they have only taken these players on a couple of months ago. Beating Fermanagh might help the optics a bit on Saturday and I hope they do but really how can we continue on this same road we are trudging along any longer. At this stage Ulster or Croke Park need to divide the U17 and 20 Into A and B sections and try and let the lesser teams develop a bit. What good did last night do any single player on that pitch from either team?

Agree with this. Digs at manager no good to anyone - there are years before this that lead to this.

What does getting rid of the quick fix solutions mean? Getting rid of the senior manager and spending very little money on a senior manager / senior team ? What is the balance here?

(I don't think the last post merits much attention...)

It wasn't because fearon was standing up for the Catholic Church it was where he was laying blame for abuse and bear in mind there is every chance there is someone here, or someone close to someone here, who has been impacted by that. He deserved the flak he got for what he said. He's no martyr just like it's misguided to think this Burke fella is.

Quote from: Gabriel_Hurl on March 14, 2025, 10:46:10 AMHe owes about 80 grand in fines.

There's talk of a receiver being appointed so they can start to get it back by garnishing his wages.

Bank of Ireland ordered to pay 40k of money from Burke's bank account to the court in 7 days.

Scary.

Cash is king folks.

Not really scary to be honest. I would have had sympathy at the start for him but he continues to rack up court fines by repeatedly breaking the court order, what do you expect?
If any of us behaved the way he did with our boss, you'd be suspended. If you continued to ignore the suspension day in day out the only outcome is court order. Repeatedly break that and of course this happens.
Scary in that the state can just take your money from your bank like that.

I still think he's 100% right but I wouldnt have had his stubbornness lol

He deserves every bit of that money taken of him. If he has it he should be paying his fines.

Imagine the position he puts the other teachers and those children at the school in too. The fella is a disgrace.

Division 2 is absolutely fine if you're staying in it or looking at promotion. It's just making sure you don't go into freefall as 3 a disaster but highly unlikely to happen to Tyrone. Derry are a funny team and while I don't think that will happen to them I wouldn't be shocked if it did either. The wheels have come off there but they should have enough quality that it *shouldn't* be freefall.

i think it's important to see *some* of this kind of thing to see what is going on in certain spheres. Within reason though.
