Has any team in the history of a pre season tournament got as carried away as them? McGeeney talking about super 8s. Soupy Campbell says the level of players that they now have is scary. McGeeney also saying they are just a level below Dublin Tyrone and Mayo. Now I know they have good players but is this not gettting slightly carried away?

So how many down men had paddy tally behind the ball on Sunday?

Armagh 6-17 St Mary's 1-07 FT
You'd have to say Armagh won't be far away in summer 2019.

LOL You say this after a McKenna Cup win against St.Marys? Reality is Armagh have yet to win an Ulster C'ship match under McGenney. Appalling record.

Holy God ck, please note this was a Tyrone poster saying Armagh won't be far away in summer 2019

Milltown, what is the craic with Cargin. They got walloped by killyclogher last year and seemed to lie down (at least until late on) against gweedore yesterday.

They would appear to have a sprinkling of quality footballers and always have a big name manager.

Have they no interest in competing in Ulster or are they just crap?

I don't know if anyone else noticed Tony Keenan going up to young McConville and putting his arm around him and having a quiet word with him after missing his goal chance, could it possibly have been a penalty for a foot block?, a nice touch from a senior player.

How did Tony play at full forward? Assuming that is Jim McConville's son, he is a pretty good minor.

Cross are just one or two players away from being an Ulster winning team.

I'm presuming Jamie isn't an option at this stage?

I can't believe the coalisland nr 5 is playing for Tyrone. Can't kick, toe tap, catch ball or take a tackle. Saying that, in his time with mickey Harte he has picked up other traits - pulling, spitting, non stop verbals and general all round cheating. A sc**bag. He should be a regular in mickey's teams for years to come. He should look at his county colleague (hampsey) who plays the game how it should be played.

Regarding the balls coming onto the pitch, I'm pretty sure peter Donnelly (as Tyrone's coach) was sent to the stand in ballybofey this year for doing exactly that. Time for peter to grow up (and retire).

Cross management should have had hanratty off as soon as coalisland went down to 13 men. He was an accident waiting to happen. Rian O'Neill's class was probably the difference between the teams.

I think Aidan o'Rourke always seemed a peculiar choice. I would have thought a division 1 side with some decent young footballers would have had a little more ambition / foresight.

Roscommon managerial set up / appointments always seem a calamity.

Edendork certainly don't come out of this article in a good light.

Obviously, the reputations of carrickmore, cookstown, ardboe and a few others go before them.

Making friends were ever they go..

I'm sure he headed over to the Tyrone hotel to receive a warm welcome. Not.

O'Connor was a quality footballer who I think got the best out of himself.

O'Neill was just pure quality

Best of luck to both in retirement

Mattie clearly recognising that Cavan's season in division 1 is going to be very demoralising

I'd presume mcgeeney's criticism is directed at crossmaglen and the decision of the the O'Neill brothers not to play for Armagh this year. I'd imagine his criticism is directed at those giving advice to them. They are 2 very talented footballers who would have got Armagh over the line against both fermanagh / Roscommon. They clearly have a decision to make if mcgeeney stays as manager next year. It would be a complete and utter waste of talent if they play only for cross next year. However, nobody should have to beg them to come and play for Armagh

If we have most of our better players back we should be challenging for division 1 next year. Players that I feel are good enough that we could call upon next year that weren't involved against Roscommon are:

- mckay, heffron, Hughes, Morgan, Higgins, ohanlon
- O.O'Neill, crealey, e.rafferty
- Campbell, R.O'Neill, Clarke, c.rafferty, m.mckenna

I don't know the inns and outs of the set up but perhaps mcgeeney could look at improving his back room set by replacing Hollywood / mckeever?

Well done to Roscommon, well deserved. Armagh ran out of bodies.

Folks, is there any chat of any of the u20s being involved on Saturday. Most notably, mcquillan, Duffy or O'Neill.

A good win although Westmeath were very poor. Rafferty going off injured is a big blow

Just one point regarding Patrick burns - he has been excellent this season and his progress has been a real highlight for Armagh. However, someone needs to remind him that he is not from Tyrone and therefore he shouldn't be goading and antagonising opposition players. Have a look at how andy mallon played the game.

Onwards and upwards
