Whatever about Glenullin's ability or right to play senior championship, they shouldn't be allowed in the intermediate championship having won it the last 2 years on the bounce.

Not a blind bit of difference did it make to the quality of hurling our county team served up.
Total tripe.
We were largely competitive against anyone. Yes we took some big beatings but nothing on a par with what we regularly ship against the big guns nowadays.
Amuses me the inferiority complex on here.
Quote from: lurganblue on February 15, 2024, 09:08:49 AMInterestingly I don't think (?) there is a MacRory medal among any of those Tyrone players.Quote from: An Watcher on February 14, 2024, 10:21:48 PMHow many of that Ulster Uni team were from Tyrone? Or would it be easier to ask how many were not from Tyrone?
I'm not sure on the squad at all but I did see two Lurgan clubs post that they had players in the squad. Emmett Magee from Clann Eireann and Anton McParland from St Pauls. Good to see.
Unreal representation from Tyrone and continues on from their total domination in MacRory and Dungannon winning the Rannafast
Quote from: bannside on February 12, 2024, 06:50:56 PMTyrone schools football at an all time high. Must be serious work going on in clubs, then schools pick up the mantle in year 8.Undoubtedly. Though it's important not to forget the influences these lads are experiencing in their homes, where a Gaelic Games culture is being instilled into them and where succeeding on the Gaelic football field is highly valued.
Holy Trinity & St Joseph's Donaghmore both stepping up in recent years too...
Only show in town amongst the bushes...fair play.
Quote from: DuffleKing on February 11, 2024, 01:02:59 PMWho were the last "New" winners of the Sigerson Cup? If Ulster win on Wednesday they will be the thirteenth winners of the competition according to wiki??
Quote from: DuffleKing on February 10, 2024, 07:54:23 AMIf the ball carrier is fouled a second time within the time of the advantage the ref gives that foul.Must have changed.
If the ball carrier commits an offence (over carry) within the time of the advantage the ref gives the original foul.
Not much point in the advantage otherwise.
Quote from: DuffleKing on February 10, 2024, 07:41:00 AMHow can there be such a poor understanding of the advantage rule at this stage. That's not my understanding of the rule.
If the fouled player commits an offence within the time limit of the advantage then original foul is immediately enforced. People seem to think "advantage" is some sort of licence to kill - you still have to play within the rules of the game. I counted 10 steps and irrespective of whether you thought it was 9 or 8 it was an obvious over carry at first glance.
