It would be a help to mayobridge if he was to return. As for Down Ronan Burns will be number1 for a few years if he stays about.

The interest in the team is there and it will help the process somewhat of getting the rest of our underage groups competitive.
Down are competitive. No question about that. Our mistakes and bad shot selections cost us today and last week.
Great to see Newry buzzing again with Down in a big game.
Yes div 3 is a set back but had anyone said at start of year win 3 league games and get to knock out championship it would've been noted as a good year for Down.
Down have come on so much from Fermanagh game. And our competitivness against Donegal and Galway were a diff level. Find a couple of defenders for next year We are defo on the right track. Hopefully no one else decides to take a year out anytime soon. Or cries off for not getting game time. It's a squad game. Look at Armagh.
The anti laverty/Kilcoo brigade in the county will continue to slam the team but conor will hopefully be at the helm for a very longtime yet. Onwards and upwards. We should be walking div 3 next year.
Quote from: Nanderson on June 15, 2025, 05:22:58 PMGutsy performance from Down this afernoon in a game that had all the hallmarks of a game where both teams didn't really have much to lose. I imagine once the knockout games start next week we will see the scoring in games come right down. In the end if was the team that made the least mistakes in the last quarter that were able to get across the line. I'm of the opinion that the 3 man breach punishment rule is too severe but at the end of the day Down know the rules and it was they who broke them in an attack that probably would have seen us go back to 1 point behind which instead ended in us going 4 down which ended up being the difference. I feel we have to try and get more from the likes of James Guinness who seems to be hooked at half time too often for a player of his quality.
Down have every chance now in a home game agaisnt either Cork, Galway or Mayo/Cavan/Tyrone

As professional as journalists are meant to be it must be very difficult to retain this when interviewing fu#kers like your man Mancer without wanting to call them out for what they are actually are. Can't remember the channel but saw a journalist interviewing that other tr**p who is their UN Ambassador last week, she was on the verge of tears.
Posh, fat, red faced, gout ridden, zero compassion, white supremisist, utterly shameless, evil, a poster boy for colonisers
This is Shocking and Shameful what is happening to many innocent children and people as we speak....
Quote from: ck on May 30, 2025, 11:52:04 AMOur underage has not been competitive for years except for a few u20 teams that lavery took on.Quote from: ONARAGGATIP on May 29, 2025, 09:16:55 PMQuote from: ck on May 29, 2025, 07:21:39 PMDown should have too much for Louth. In saying that I have been disappointed with Down under Laverty, they just havent made the progress I expected and are not really any further on from 2 years ago. I hope the next 2 weeks will prove me wrong though.
Down have beaten Donegal. Won the t cup. Beat monaghan in clones. Lost narrowly in drogheda and cavan. Not many teams get relegation on six points. May I ask have u attended many games this year? The progression is obvious. Seriously young squad. Hope you are going on Saturday.
Happy to be corrected and admittedly I've only seen Down once this year, twice tomorrow I hope.
Beating a mess of a Donegal team under Paddy Carr and Aidan O'Rourke is hardly a reference point, nor is winning the TCup. These would be regarded as fully expected. Relegation was not expected, but it happened and does not point to progress.
