Kung f* star Carradine found dead

Carradine was best known recently for starring in Kill Bill
Kill Bill and Kung f* star David Carradine has been found dead in a Bangkok hotel room.

Thai police told the BBC the 72-year-old was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and genitals on Thursday morning.

The US star was in Thailand filming his latest film Stretch, according to his personal manager Chuck Binder.

Mr Binder said the news was "shocking", adding: "He was full of life, always wanting to work... a great person."

Carradine was part of an acting dynasty which included his father, John Carradine, and brothers Bruce, Keith and Robert.

The star was best known for his role as Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s TV series Kung f*, which spawned sequels in the '80s and '90s.

After a career which included more than 100 movies with directors such as Martin Scorsese and Ingmar Bergman, he recently found fame again thanks to his role in Quentin Tarantino's 2003 film Kill Bill.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Bierman, and four children.

I know I am highlighting this again but I think it is wrong of media to give this detail and police to give it to media in first place. He is dead and won't affect him and others who did similar but relatives have to read this and live with it. Is hardly in the public interest either... very distasteful.

Wel lthe locals police obviously think it is  -
Forensic expert Porntip Rojanasunan, who works with Thailand's Ministry of Justice, said the death appeared to be caused by an "auto-erotic accident".

"It's not suicide or murder but he died... after masturbation," Porntip told AFP.

Joe and Anne O'Connell (nee Coleman) who were killed in a car crash in Iowa on Sunday evening.  I had the pleasure of playing camogie with Anne in NY for a few years.  She was a star and an absolute lady.  She also played for Galway and Joe was a Kerry County hurler.  Recently they had resided in Madison, WI.
Their three children were injured in the accident, which happened on a family vacation.  My deepest sympathies to the O'Connell and Coleman families and a full recovery is wished to all of their children.

RIP Anne and Joe

Screen star Fawcett dies aged 62

Actress Farrah Fawcett, who became an icon of 1970s US television, has died of cancer in Los Angeles aged 62, her spokesman has confirmed.

Fawcett is best known for starring in Charlie's Angels, and in later years for hard-hitting TV and stage roles.

Her battle with illness was chronicled in the television documentary Farrah's Story earlier this year.

The screen star's long-term partner, actor Ryan O'Neal, recently disclosed they would finally get married.

Fawcett was previously married to Lee Majors, star of The Six Million Dollar Man, from 1973 to 1982.

She and O'Neal had one son, Redmond, who is serving a prison sentence for drug offences.

As Fawcett's career was taking off, she posed in a red bathing suit for a poster which went on to sell several million copies.

Her tousled blonde locks, made famous by her role in Charlie's Angels, were emulated by fans across the globe.

The actress earned a string of Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her small screen roles, but never won one of the major awards.

In 1995, she was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I hope Angus is looking after himself.
