Slot will have some playing issues to contend with, will he be bringing his own staff or will there be some continuity with current coaching staff?

Apparently most, if not all, of Klopp's staff are leaving with him.

It's basically a given these days that each manager comes with trusted staff as a package deal.

For example, Ancelotti's son has been his right hand man for years now.

Is that Top 4 secure for Liverpool now after Spurs losing?

It looks like it. Unless Spurs win their 5 remaining games by a 20 goal difference and Liverpool lose their 3 remaining games

considering one of those 5 is Man City it would have to be very very strange

It's gone from winning the quadruple to worrying about finishing top 4.  

Given their collapse in form, it's not an unreasonable worry!

Luckily, their form for most of the season was so good that it's a pretty remote possibility that they'd miss out.
