You might be right though hard to ignore Villa's home form this season. 6 wins from 6 and 23 goals scored. No side scored more at home this season.  City have already dropped points in 3 or their 7 away games.

Quote from: screenexile on December 03, 2023, 10:19:55 PMCity are doing the same as they did last season to peak at the right time... they went on a run after Christmas and cleaned all before them I fully expect history to repeat itself!

It was as much Arsenal falling away. 42 points Man City accumulated in their first 19 games last season and finished up with 89 points. Mid 80 points could well be enough to win the league title this season.

Quote from: Gael85 on December 03, 2023, 05:41:28 PMWhere has Corofin Jason Leonard gone to? A excellent freetaker who was missed today.

Gone traveling didn't play in the county final or against Ballina the last day either.

Quote from: Gael85 on December 03, 2023, 05:49:45 PMIs Ronan Stack the only survivor from last Brigids team that won Connacht in 2012? IS Niall McInerney playing anymore?
Eoin Sheehy unused sub today would be another one. I think McInerney is a doctor now and doesn't seem to have the time to play much football anymore.

Half time St Brigids 1-6 Corofin 1-2. Brigids much the better side in that half. Real lifeline and possible turning point with that Corofin goal with the last action of the half.

Quote from: gawa316 on December 02, 2023, 11:28:53 PMVarane must be a cert for the Saudi league in Jan. Has it come out yet what ETH's beef is with him?

Something about Maguire the form defender and Varane doesn't pair up well with him as he's mainly right footed and would have to play on the left side.

Quote from: pbat on December 02, 2023, 06:42:19 PMIs Corofin playing tonight in the Munster intermediate club final representing Clare the same Corofin playing tomorrow in the Connaught Football final? Or is it two different clubs?

Different clubs. That Corofin team tonight are North Clare based team.

Kilmacud Crokes 1-14 Naas 0-10. Decent effort by Naas and had their chances to at least bring that game into extra time but by the end of it all Kilmacud Crokes win three Leinster titles in a row and move onto 7 titles overall tied at the top with Portlaoise, St Vincents. The addition of Shane Walsh as expected has made a big difference, scored 1-8 of their 1-14 points today.

Odds for Sunday's Connacht senior final.

St Brigids 2/1 Corofin 8/15 Draw 7/1

Last meeting was the Semi final in 2017 which was a draw after 60 minutes 1-11 each and Corofin prevailed in extra time 2-15 to 1-14.

Teams that started back then. Still plenty of Corofin players that should be playing on Sunday only a few left for Brigids.

Corofin: B Power; K Fitzgerald, C McGrath, L Silke; M Lundy, C Cunningham, K Molloy; Michael Farragher, R Steede; Colin Brady, G Sice, J Leonard; D Wall, Martin Farragher, I Burke.

Subs used: D McHugh, D Burke, J Burke, Ciaran Brady, B O'Donovan, K Murphy

St Brigid's: S Mannion; D Sheehy, N McInerney, J Murray; R Stack, P Domican, I Kilbride; G Dolan, E Nolan; P Kelly, D Dolan, C Murray; B Stack, S Kilbride, C McHugh

Subs used: D Donnelly, D Cunniffe, E Sheehy, J McDonnell, N Grehan, McHugh,Nolan.

Was loads of good Tango orange adverts with the late Ray Wilkins voiceover but I think the blackcurrant Tango ad was the best.
