Congratulations to Pearses, the two point margin didn't do them justice but they'll hardly care.

Great to see Pearses winning the provincial title. Hon the Rossies.

twohands!!!

14 wides when the opposition kicked 2, in a 2 point loss is an absolute sickener.

Horror show stuff.

Look at the pitch and venue for the Munster club hurling  final compared to that final, no offence to to the host club, but the players deserve better?

Shot selection and decision making was the biggest issue for Knockmore. Large chucks of both halves Pearses was the more controlled and composed team on the ball, nearly had to win the game three times but win they did and fully deserved.

County players the Daly brothers and Murray very good on defensive duties. Paul Carey one to watch, good underage forward in recent years only a matter of time before he's given the chance to impress at senior level.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Which was the better venue?

Farrandeelin

Terrible shooting from nearly every Knockmore forward today. Can have no complaints. Pearses were full value for their win, seemed to score any time they went forward in the second half. Don't know about Pearses form heading into the game, but we brought the same sloppy performance that I hoped would be rectified over the Christmas period. But there was only two points in it as bad as we played so the forwards will be doing some head-scratching about some of the misses. Pádraig Pearses will probably be worried about not winning handily given the poor performance of the opposition.
Inaugural Football Championship Prediction Winner.

Cómhgháirdeas na Piarsaigh.
Better team throughout but yet were hanging on last few minutes which is a worry looking ahead.
Some great scores by Carey and the Dalys were immense.
In bonus territory now so you'd never know from here.
Milltown there's a home/away arrangement in Connacht but Castlebar is getting a long overdue new pitch so their secondary County Ground came into play.
And of course the Connacht Council is run by a Mayoman for the benefit of Mayo.
Davy's given us a dream to cling to
We're going to bring home the SAM

Jaysus....that seemed to be a very soft penalty Pearses got

Last time Ballina hosted a Connacht senior final? The Connacht GAA seem to select only MacHale Park, Tuam Stadium, Hyde Park and Pearse stadium for the last number of previous finals.

This FINAL would have been in McHale only for it's not available.
