more interested to see how the younger players are doing, we are going to need them. saunders at portlaoise is getting a run with the senior team, though frank Flanagan seems to be hurling. I thought he was good last year playing with laois. Barry at o dempseys seems to scoring well and it will be interesting to see how Coffey and Murphy do with Port.

Saunders looked a fine player last year. Is he with the under 20's?
Whelan of Ballyroan is another great prospect as are Coffey and Slevin. O'Flynn too.

It will be interesting to see how U20's go.  I just think they will find it extremely tough going with their preparation they were quite lucky as minors in the draw they received.  I am not a fan of potential show me what you got and then I will believe it.  So far for these chaps it really is a case of big fish in a small pool.

I wouldn't read anything into this year's under 20 team. It's thrown together. Had a good win over Sligo last night but really fear for them against Kildare in the first round.

Tough game and for a very worthy cause but with a full round of club fixtures on saturday night and another round on thursday night 3games in 5 days seems alot to ask the county lads,can see a good few not togging for their clubs which wont go down well

It's up to management to manage the players workload. I'd imagine in the Meath game most lads will only play half thge game with the usual clatter of subs being used.

The Rock are going to struggle to stay intermediate over the next few years. Very few young lads coming through to replace the aging team. Also heard their underage arrangement with Emo and Courtwood is not continuing.

Tough job to step into at moment,that gracefield team has lost alot if players through retirement,emigration and injury since last year.

100% agreed. Missing two senior county players (both names escape me at the moment), one through cruciate injury, the other travelling for the year.

The reason we won yesterday is that there is Portlaoise players there on the field of play any time laois has been successful our lads bought into it... reality the rest of the clubs in laois are so poor dirt be honest and we are soooo good there will be no stoping the town this year and it's a fact wahooooooooooooooooooooooo
