2 Unbelievable goals from Cisse tonight. 2nd is goal of the season IMO.

2ND goal was some strike alright  :) :) :) :)

Goal of the season.

Without a doubt.

Why was there 10 mins of injury time?

Jammy bustard.

A strange season has almost reached it's conclusion. Looking back you could say the neighbours almost copied each other.

Champions league group stage knock outs.
Eliminated in the same round of the Europa league.
Early FA cup exits.
Both failed to reach the league cup final.
In the league both have the same amount of wins, draws, defeats & points

It's looks like City will win it now on goal difference & as SLIGONIAN said above you couldn't begrudge them after waiting 44yrs for the title but as the saying goes.. there's a thin line between success and failure

It's always seems a thin line when it's you first title in a long time. The thinnest of lines has surely to be Arsenals late second goal to win the title at Anfield in 1989. They won the title on Goals scored.

I think it was more or less the last kick of the game too. Was it Michael Thomas who scored?

Was surprised when I seen the United team. Scholes has been super since his return and alot of that is to do with the wide men he has in the side with him, he plays the ball early and simply, pulls the opposition around and the space opens up. Last night he had Carrick, Park and Giggs all standing round beside him, Rooney was marked by two centre backs, Nani was Nani when the pressure is on and the full backs where reluctant to get forward. Result was that United strengths were nullified.

City actually started very nervously and the first half hour was poor enough but United had nothing to offer. No shots on target in 90plus minutes was shocking in a title clash against your nearest and dearest.

Still for all that, it took one set play to separate the teams. I can see a few twists and turns in the title yet. I found the City players reaction telling after the whistle, while they were happy to win they weren't celebrating like it was the title in the bag, the supporters may have been. But the team seem focused on knowing it was part of the job done but more to do. The show boating was left to the fans, Liam Gallagher and Maradona.

I would agree with most of that Bingo, but I do think it's City's to lose & I can't see them slipping up now. Btw I thought it was very insipid display from Utd, if I was a fan I'd be looking for a bit more aggression from the team. There also seems to be a serious lack of pace in that side.(Why weren't Young & Valencia starters?)

Uniteds to lose, they'll set out for a draw tonight. Much like they played against Arsenal in recent years, sit tight and then counter fast and if they get 2/3 chances, you can be sure they'll take them.

Do City have the balls for it? Hard to tell.

Will be great for the neutral and may the best team win  ;)

Really looking forward to this one. I'll be shouting for Citeeee if only for the sake of my pocket.

Suarez 3rd goal.....goal of the season

One of the best hat tricks you'll see.

Totally agreed, now if he could start tapping 10-12 in from 2 yards a la Rushie he'll be perfect!!!

Great hat-trick but I think goal of the day yesterday must go to di Santo. (Wigan's 4th).

Maybe they should be. The least parents can ask for is that little Johnny's teacher has a good grasp of grammar and punctuation. The teachers produced now have serious deficiencies in that regard. In a secondary school that can be hidden as the students and teachers wouldn't notice. In grammar schools you'd be moved 'sideways' into something like Media Studies, PE or Home Economics.

I think your previous post should have read halve half of.

Halve the secondary school teachers can't even write right or speak right.

What are you going to with them after that? Quarter them? :D

Christ Houghton is a pain in the bollix, how can he sit there and criticise players taking penalties under the most intense mental pressure that most of them would have ever experienced. Idiot!

How dare you ;). To be honest I never heard him, over here we have to put up with Adrian Chiles and Gareth Mouthgate.

They know the rules. It's hard not to feel sorry for three of them (JT the sc**bag being the odd one out) but Chelsea will just have to get on with it. Didn't Utd lose their midfield (Scholes & Keane) in 99 and go on to win it.

It's hard to feel sorry for Ramirez and Ivanovic - they've put their clubs in a bad spot for the final for nothing more than a bit of mouthing to the referee. If I was a Chelsea fan I'd be pretty irritated at them. You could at least give Mireles a bit of a pardon as he was the only one to get booked making a feckin' tackle!

My point exactly, I don't think there are many players who haven't mouthed at a referee. I know it's the rules but it's hard not to feel sorry for them. Anyway best of luck to both teams in the final, good to see both the underdogs get through.

Have seen a lot of people even on facebook giving praise and glad chelsea won, these lads would all be liverpool, man u and gooner fans. Very strange, i think alot of EPL fans are very jealous as their always hearing how the top 2 in spain are so much better, which they still are.

I'm not a fan of any team (outside celtic) , but last night made me sick. We had training so i only seen the 2nd half, i know people talk about the great discipline and defence etc, but it was disgusting. It may be tiring, but it's not that hard to stand and defend your own box with 9 men and just boot the ball away. Chelsea were hammered over 2 legs, if barca had of scored first over the 2 legs and made chelsea come and attack, what would chelsea have offered up? very little i'd say.

Talk about underdog etc doesn't wash, not when they bought torres last year for 50 millions lids, hardly poor wee underdogs.

Plus i never usually bet and i threw lids on barca last night so i'm extra pissed off.

The best thing about GAA ( and alot of other sports too), is that the best team on the day usually wins ( except armagh in 2005). Soccer is what it is i guess, chelsea were right to do what they did, especially with 9 men, i just wish they could have been sickened at the end by a late goal

I'd say that sentence has a lot to do with that nonsense of a rant.

To be honest, not really, i just threw it in for extra measure. What's nonsense about the rest of it, you want me to give them some credit?
ok then credit to chelsea for defending well and getting lucky, and taking their 3 chances

That word there made your post into a rant. They're professional sportsmen and are well entitled to win any way they can (inside the laws of the game). In most other sports (team or individual) the best team doesn't always win especially in a knockout tournament. Credit for giving Chelsea their due, yes they were extremely lucky but sometimes sh*t happens.
