Never mentioned the minor Cargin game. You said pitch was bad I said minor game played on it earlier ( as per Antrim GAA results) but probably played elsewhere?

Rossa were due to play in Cargin so a minor match on Rossa's pitch wouldn't have made a difference to their senior match. Both minor and senior matches scheduled for Cargin were not played.

Jail probably depends on whether the stuff in the WhatsApp is true. If there's a confession on tape then he'll probably go inside.

Hopefully, I know we've had a couple of training sessions called off for our ladies teams. Hopefully picks up soon.

If we ever had a football sub committee  their first job should be to reduce division 1 to 8 teams. There are so many sub standard teams in there, at least 4 of them would be in Division 3/4 in any other county and it's doing no one any favours, them or other teams that strive for better.

From where I see things the grading problem starts long before seniors.
Is there another county in Ireland that doesn't do grading until U16 cause that's what happening in our league structure now.
Our neighbouring counties have grading at go-game level !!
So yes coaching massive problem and not easily fixed overnight but having so many non competitive games right up to the age of 16 now is a shambles.
How can kids progress progress if they aren't getting competitive games each week which is what happens in non graded league structures.

As for losing today=disaster.

Pretty sure go games hurling is graded in North Antrim. I know when my wee lad was there his team would put a team in the top and third grades if they had enough boys.

I don't think many teams hold an extra spot for a kicker on their practice squad. Usually if the kicker gets injured or hurt they'll act on it then. There's really only 32 active kickers out there so it's a tough gig to get. Even if a kicker gets injured in a game there's usually a back up option. I remember Wes Welker taking a kick back in the day as I think he had a soccer background.

The MacRory debate is a pointless one. People seem to be thinking Antrim's issues are because we don't have players playing MacRory but the root of the problem is long before that. Our players don't play MacRory because the schools aren't good enough and the problems have started long before our lads get to that age.

It's a fantastic listen. The McCloy and Donal mcanallen one was for me one of the best and there are some good ones.

I didn't enjoy the mcguigan one as much as some of the rest. Tbh niblock, who I do really like, seemed like he was pushing him to say he's an alcoholic and he wouldn't. Thought it strayed into uncomfortable.

Mcconville quite sometimes but I imagine it's possibly difficult for someone who's not really a media person to ask questions on very sensitive topics. You'd be very afraid of saying the wrong thing.

Started listening to the linker shearer Richards podcast the rest is football. It's not bad.

I like their Wednesday podcast. It's a q and a one. Get some good insight

Becoming more and more impressed with Niblock and Oisin's podcast, especially the midweek one. Listening to the one with Donal McAnallen and Kevin McCloy at the moment, following closely on from the Frank McGuigan one a week or two ago and some of the ones last year. He's a superb interviewer, Niblock, and gets all these prominent GAA personalities to really open up about their opinions and real lives.

Can't-miss listening for me.

In the midweek one, I sometimes wonder what the point of Oisin is?
