MVDP keeps yellow on countback apparently. Deserves it.

Pogacar back in yellow with the stage win. Same time as MVDP.

Really tough climb with about 5km to go that topped out at about 15 or 16%. Almeida put in such a shift that Pogacar's kick was borderline unnoticeable other than him getting out of the saddle for once. Everyone other than JV was right on the limit and when he went they just sort of fell away. He even had a couple of bike lengths on JV before he sat back down. The pair of them had about 10 seconds in the rest but appeared to sit up a touch.

Pogacar definitely left something in the tank though because when it came to the sprint finish uphill at about 4%, MVDP tried to go and just didn't have it in the legs. He did really well to stay in that group with the pace Almeida was setting though. Phenomenal rider. JV looked good as well, so hopefully a bit more of a contest than last year.

Heartbreaking stuff for Grigor Dimitrov. Two sets up against World Number 1 Sinner and on track for his first Wimbledon QF in more than a decade and he looks to have torn a pec. Had to use his left hand to lift his right so he could shake hands with the umpire

Crashes all over the place this week. Evenepoel down today to continue his rotten first week but looks to be on. Philippsen gone. Really nasty crash on the final corner with someone going head over heels over the handlebars and over the barrier.

They were in the AI final (and leading at half time I think) two years ago ffs.

That said, yesterday was very, very poor and I'd be surprised if Lyng stays on.

Quote from: Tubberman on July 06, 2025, 09:39:21 PMA fair point given that the purpose of minors is to develop players who can play u20 and hopefully senior.

Is it? "The" purpose? Either singular or primary?

Quote from: nrico2006 on July 06, 2025, 07:15:22 PMThought Tyrone were going to repeat the 2021 All Ireland Minor final again, when they were the better team but kicked it away rather than Meath winning it.

What's the story with rules at different grades? Hard to keep up. Some grades have all the new rules and others don't?

Like what? Only thing they didn't have today I think was the hooter, no?

Was straight at him to be honest but he did well to cover.

Huge win for Tipp, regardless of the result in two weeks' time.

KK completely shat the bed there. The messing to give away the fourth goal was ridiculous from Deegan.

Fair play Tipp.

Murphy has to take man and ball there for the third goal. KK full back line all over the place.

Mullen not in the game at all.

I thought Jarlath's speech today was grand btw. Has to acknowledge both teams, especially after a final as tight as that. People may disagree with him plenty, but as an orator there haven't been many like him in the Association's history.

Bigger and stronger looking I thought too, not that it made all that much difference on the pitch.

Incredibly emotional interview with Kerry manager Wayne Quillinan. He's obviously and understandably completely devastated for his lads.

Quote from: thebigfullforward on July 06, 2025, 02:48:15 PMOur midfield is invisible and has been all year

That's not true, Mulgrew has been one of the standout players on the pitch.
The one that gave the ball away? They've been poor all year. Was Donaghy that gave it away for the goal too. Very lucky to win in the end I thought

Sorry, missed the bit where you updated the definition of "visible" to "commits no errors at all".

Hasn't realised it was Diarmuid Martin who got the winner. Couldn't write it. Congrats Tyrone.

Jarlath literally not knowing his left from his right.
