The Mary Wallopers play in a friends pub in Dundalk on a Wednesday night, or they did before the lockdown, but they've played a few gigs online over the last few weeks online and it's been great craic. They're quare characters and if you can donate a few quid to any of your local bands or buy a t-shirt or some merchandise it will make a big difference to them, they're all struggling at the minute.

Cod Liver Oil and the Orange Juice.

The lads are doing another live gig at 9pm, great nights craic and if you can make a small donation, not just to this band, but to any of us struggling musicians it would be greatly appreciated.

It's back in my head because a cover of it is in Normal People but Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division is the greatest song ever written. Monday will be 40 years since Ian Curtis' suicide.

One of the greats, indeed. Cracking tune and memorable chorus, but I cannot think of a single line from it. Some other songs have more memorable lyrics.

Sorry, didn't realise this was the "lyrics you won't forget" thread.

I have come across them on Youtube and I think they are great craic. I'd gladly donate a few euro to them if I know how I could do this. Any suggestions?

I see Mory Kante died yesterday. A famous African musician in his own right but I'll forever associate him with one of the all time great dance tunes - Yeke Yeke - Hardfloor remix

Never heard of these ladies, but they do some great covers;

A 'supergroup' comprised of  Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris, and Amanda Shires - all of whom are excellent artists in thier own right
