Im sure the crowd probably got the drift that he wasn't 100% mentally healthy, but I see what you're saying. I was more or less having a rant in general about the way these people are treated.

I find this quite sad actually, this man clearly has a lot of valid points that he wanted to put across, however, his illness prevents him from doing this effectively. I work within mental health and learning disabilities and find this very frustrating when people have good ideas or simply want to live their lives as normal as you and me. I'm sick to death of being out with the people I support and the public (in general) asking me what the person would like etc. instead of asking the person themselves. It's amazing how rude and ignorant people can be when interacting with these groups.

The looks of the crowd towards this man and their reaction to Kenny's 'joke' are pathetic, a real shame. I say well done to your man for having the balls to stand up and make his point.

You tell us how you would prepare a county team for the championship without playing 15 aside games to allow you and the team to be ready for a game. Remember Tyrone don't play challenge matches, and nobody forces these lads to stay on the panel, they are more than happy to be part of it and it will improve them as footballers because they are playing and training with better footballers all year. Surely your not one of these coaches who have players running around cones from the start of the season to the end of it

You tell me how going for 2 months at a time without a competitive game as happened this year is bettering a players career?  I would be all for Harte keeping a panel of 30-34 as long as he released the players who aren't being used in championship games to play for their club on Sunday's.  At the end of the day, club football is the heart of the GAA, perhaps you are one of these so called 'supporters' who go to County games only and never watch your club, yet cry foul when your name isn't called out for an All-Ireland ticket  ???
Good post

I actually think the starred system worked pretty well this year for the clubs with county players. I think the county players only missed 4 club league games and the leagues were effectively finished at the end of September. Club players got continuous football. There are a few issues that need to be sorted i.e. who play who in the starred games. Foe example, Kildress (0 county players) played Moy this year. The Moy should play their starred games against Omagh (3), Dromore (4-5), Errigal (3), Ardboe (2) and Killyclogher (2). Kildress should have been playing Clonoe, Coalisland, Eglish, Loughmacrory (1) and someone else.

That would be the perfect scenario Tommo but i'd imagine that would be a major headache for fixture organisers to sort out.

Putting aside your quasi-racism for a minute, has any evidence emerged that this man was a Taliban operative? It would be prudent to wait for the whole story before jumping to baseless assumptions.

WTF are you on about? He was a muslim in the US military who went on the rampage. I am in pretty blunt form tonight, but I wouldn't term it quasi racism. If you were going off to fight in the US military and you got to choose who would be in your unit in Afghanistan you wouldn't be choosing Muhammad Hassan to fight along side you. If evidence comes out that the gun went off accidentally
or something well then I will be embarassed.

Jesus Christ man this sort of shit happens all the time in the states, extreme alienation coupled with possible bullying added to the stress of possible deployment to a warzone could really mess someone up. See columbine or the fella that killed all those students last year in n Carolina (i think) to see what severe psychological stress can do!

Capt pat I'm sorry but when has the war in Iraq/Afghanistan been solely fought against Islam? If that's the assumption then every man, women and child are legitimate targets. The war is being fought against terrorists i.e. Al quieda/Taliban (with the added bonus of oil etc. Thrown into the bargain) it doesn't give anyone the right to turf someone out of the army because of their religious beliefs happen to be the same as the bad guys. With that logic all catholics should be dumped out of the PSNI as a few w**kers in the RIRA have stepped up their campain.

Jaysus I wasn't aware that Saudi still carries out beheadings, 102 in the last year, ckrikey! This particular fella is a monster and while I don't agree with the death penalty the b*stard should rot in prison for the rest of his days.
