How many of the under 21 starters from the Roscommon game played for their clubs less than 24 hours later. According to teamtalkmag, Danny Mc Nulty played for Clonoe. Is Cassidy on a power trip? Did any others play? Trillick got some result if the Brennan's didn't play !
I think Mark Bradley (Sub on Saturday) played as well.

Our man didn't play, and unfortunately it cost us the game.

That's the worry for us. Yesterday and 3 x starred games to be missed. In addition we've a full round of games the day after (1.30pm!) the U21 Final, which might be missed as well. In Div 3 you don't have the luxury of resting players for any games!

Norf, it could have been a loss rather than a draw only for a dodgy umpire! good hard hitting game though!

Heard that.

However also heard a fair few calls went against us too!

My point was that the early throw in at 1.30pm was harsh on us I thought. I would've hoped that the availability of Cathal would've tipped the balance for us.

yeah, he wasn't great for either team to be honest. If Cathal had played, I feel the 2 points would have been heading back up the road alright.

Wasn't there some kind of 'world' football championships being played in Dublin every other year in the early/mid 90's.

Late 90s, early 2000s.  Wasn't very well promoted. I'm not sure if it was sanctioned by the boys at the top of the ladder at Croke Park. San Francisco stopped supporting it because it was just a big financial drain for limited benefit.

there was one in 2002 in the week leading up to the AI Football final, as i was representing Europe!! that was the last one until this year, mainly due to the cost of running it and teams traveling to it.

Was doing well since Christmas..... until an hour ago...a chip out of Pat's for my lunch :-[
is Pat's still open? great food in that place, used to love sneaking out at lunch time for a bag of chips when i was at school!!

Still going strong!! New management though the same top class grub...I take it you were at the Abbey?

was indeed Sams, just a quick run down the hill for the grub!!

..and no rush back up it!

yeah, the length of time to get back up the hill depended on whether you got a small or large chip!!  ;D

Easy wins for Pomeroy and Errigal

Stephen McCrory seems a big asset to that Errigal III team.

Did he start the All Ireland Minor final in 2008?
Stephen played in the 08 minor final.  I think at corner back

He is away to the states this morning!!  :(

Anyone have an idea about the next round of Junior league games that will be played? Preliminary round of championship on Friday 23rd May, would imagine there would still be league games that weekend with the exception of the two teams in the championship or am I being too presumptuous?  :-\

Suppose to be a full round on Saturday 24th AFAIK. When is that Beragh and Errigal III game?

Friday 23rd May, 6.45pm in Killyclogher

Good god some off them men are still playing for Errigal thirds as far as I know.
Between the years of 1993 and 2001 only Ardboe came between Errigal and Carrickmore in 1998. They won 4 titles each contesting no fewer than 4 finals. Errigal had a lot of baron Ulster Club years as well when you actually look at it and actually represented Tyrone in 2005 as the championship wasn't finished. It is known that part of Carrickmores failure to do well in Ulster is the pressure on the players to emulate what Errigal Ciaran have done. We are a terribly jealous bunch up on the hills ;)
The year of 2004 in which Carrickmore got to the semi final and should have beaten Mayobridge was some experience for a supporter. Getting to Brewster Park, then Omagh, Casement for a replay and Casement for the semi final in successive weeks was a unique experience and I always am delighted to see Tyrone clubs from junior to Senior do well in it for their communities. I recall Greencastle winning the All Ireland being a good night Carmen!!
Clonoe have the age profile to give it a good rattle again would need a kinder draw than the Derry champions in Celtic Park. In my eyes that's the worst draw they could have got all things considering.

Seamus Mallon and Eoin Gormley are still playing for the 3rds, along with Pete Loughran. Hugh Quinn played until last season and Tiffy is the manager!!
