1. There's no open borders
2. Why do some people only care about crimes against Irish women when it's foreign nationals who commit them?

March of hate?!! Aaah. Boo hoo. Sadly for you, the majority of people in this country don't want open borders.

there are no open borders in Ireland

Quote from: illdecide on May 05, 2024, 08:43:52 PMI think a lot of you need to think more carefully about calling these so called people "Fans". I'm from Lurgan and it pisses me off a bit when people come on here and just post up "Lurgan people are scumbags". These people you are talking about come from everywhere and don't care what the attraction is, they're there for the party and couldn't name you 3 players. The real fans are there for majority of the games home and away through thick and thin and thousands come from Lurgan to support Armagh.
I see drunken fans at every game from every County so no crap about being far away to travel/size of town nonsense or whatever else was posted, the fact is the further in the Championship you go the more idiots you get unfortunately. The All Ireland final will sort that out as tickets are so hard to get and there'll be no Lurgan ones drunk at that either.

they're best ignored mate. Thing is, a lot of people giving off about people being drunk at games will ave been drunk at games in their youth.

Quote from: gallsman on April 30, 2024, 11:22:56 AMLeBron and the Lakers handled pretty easily by the Nuggets 4-1. Can't see even the Celtics challenging them over 7 games unless they get a significant injury.

LeBron still very much got it though. Was terrific last night.

Celtics will have home court advantage - first two games in Boston - which could be significant. I think Porzingis is injured though which would be a huge loss against the Joker

Quote from: imtommygunn on May 01, 2024, 10:04:14 AMTends to be twitter I think. But for twitter there'd be no Jamie Bryson and I don't think there'd be the rise there is in the south either.

At least Bryson isn't hiding behind a fake name like 99.9% of the hate filled bastids on there are

When will people catch about twitter? Like I know I've umpteen posts on here, but that's my limit, of social media, when someone talks to me about what they seen on twitter or some said this on TikTok I'm immediately rolling my eyes and wanting to bash their heads in

Will Twitter and the like get worst or will it die a death?

It won't die. I do like Twitter but it can be a cesspit. I block loads of people who get in the way of important things like GAA and NBA news etc

seeing drunken louts at a GAA game sickens me.

My apologies, I misunderstood.

Quote from: LC on April 29, 2024, 10:24:46 PMWhen it comes to Armagh matches would the worst of the offenders in terms of the drunken louts be from a certain part of the County (near the M1)?  Previous experience would lead me to believe this is the case but I am happy to be proven wrong.

A south Armagh person would want to be sober enough to watch the game.

At the Armagh Galway quarter final game in CO the Sri Ken Armagh fans fighting in the bogs who knocked my nephew over weren't form north or south Armagh. I can tell you that

Quote from: tonto1888 on April 29, 2024, 10:32:30 AMany guitar players got any tips of mastering barre chords

* make sure your hand / arm is correct, ie you'll want your thump and index finger to form a clamp.

* learn to play open E with your middle, ring and pinky finger (makes it easier to move the E shape barre chairs down the fret board)

* maybe start with power chords, ie E A D strings (E shape barre) or A D G strings (A shape barre) and learn to navigate up and down the fret board memorising the chords.

* do not get hung up on all the strings ringing clear, the bottom B string can be a brut. Work on placing the barre chord as quick and accurately as you can.

Haven't looked, but I'm sure Justin Sandercoe or Andy Guitar would have a video or two with better / clearer tips

cheers for the reply. Will look those two up. Its the B and Low E strings which never sound right. Always sound muted for me

You must be going rightly if you're learning the barre chords

Ive been playing on and off for a while but the last few months been doing it more consistently. Ive always stopped when I get to the barre chords but am determined to get them this time

Best of luck. If you haven't already, and want to move up the neck, try triads. If you know basic barre shaping, it's handy enough to work out the major and minor triad for each chord, it's a quare adventure.

I am currently working on flight of the icarus to get the hang of a gallop riff

Sounds like I'm teaching my granda how to suck eggs  ;D

Not at all. I am very much a beginner despite playing on and off for a while. All the advice is very much appreciated

Stranger things have happened....

considering one of those 5 is Man City it would have to be very very strange
