Another year, another drubbing. It's high time this charade of a competition be completely overhauled. Scrap provincial competitions and alliance league. Have 4 divisions of 8 teams playing a league system home and away-14 meaningful competitivel matches played every fortnight from February till August.I'd much rather 0  see Lapis play competitive games against Offaly or Westmeath in Division 2 than being hammered by Clare. Have semifinals and finals,Division 1 winners All Ireland Champions, bottom team relegated,Division 2 Champs promoted.,etc.
IMy heart goes out to players and managem ent on a night like this,but it will be the same for years to come. As supporters and players we deserve far more from the gaa than this joke of a competition!,

Just looking at the team that played Kilkenny in last years championship. Six starters from that team,the 2 Dunphys,Lee Cleere, Joe Geany,David Connolly and Aaron Bergin. Liam Delaney and Eric Killeen came on as subs. Interesting to see that Robbie Phelan and Stephen Phelan both started as well but are not part of the Minor panel this year.

Minor hurlers in Leinster League semi final action against Westmeath in Mullingar at 1.30 pm Saturday.The competition is somewhat diluted by the absence of Kilkenny and Wexford from the conpetition but should still be a good workout with Offaly coming up in first round of Leinster championship in two weeks time   

Lapis 1-16 Dublin 0-8. Dublin didn't score from play. Kerry next up on 19th March.

Kilkenny CBS next up for Mountrath CS in SemiFinal on February 13th.
Laois Minors played Clare also yesterday losing on a scoreline of 1-21 to 3-14.

Minors beat Limarick today, don't know final score. Have played Westmeath twice in recent weeks, losing both by a few points.Also played Dublin last week,losing 5-13 to 1-13.
