I was coming home in the car last night and Cohen was being played. At that stage the news of his death had not been announced and I was thinking to myself what a wonderful songwriter,singer and entertainer he was.

He first played in Ireland in march1972 as part of a tour around europe and a version of Kevin Barry was a part of the repertoire.
