A real rock legend.

Take it easy !

Well I'm a runnin' down the road try'n to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind
Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand, and take it easy
Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl my Lord in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me
Come on, baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win, though we will never be here again
So open up I'm climbin' in, so take it easy
Well, I'm a runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, she's so hard to find
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy
Come on baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me

Shamrock Shore

Frey was a good singer and a good songwriter who was in the right place at the right time.

However he seems to have been a royal pain in the hole to the other Eagles. He fired Don Felder twice and propbaly caused Randy Meisner to walk.

He reckoned basically that the rest of the Eagles were just the backing group to himself and Henly.

RIP all the same. Saw them in Dublin in 1995 in the RDS and that was enough. Come later gigs in Dublin the tickets were way too expensive.
Still will put on an album or two of theirs ifin I am in the mood. I don't think Billy used to appreciate that way back in the early 80s.

A great band.
It feels weird to see all these rock stalwarts passing on. A bit like looking at the auld lad and thinking his energy is depleted and our generation is the one in charge now.

RIP Dale Griffin,  drummer with Mott the Hoople.
Tthis song was written by David Bowie.
Not a bad epitaph?
Questions that shouldn't be asked shouldn't be answered

Tony Baloney

Leslie Nielsen is STILL dead and loving it despite many thousands reporting earlier that he had died.  ::)

Never all that gone on the Eagles - always thought them a soft rock version of a Boy band TBH. Could never see them as a weighty outfit of substance, unlike REM or U2 for e.g. (cue wailing and gnashing of teeth from U2-deniers etc.) Did like 'The Last Resort' though...

Tom Hagen couldn't get him off the hook.

Terry was a legend. Way better than Gaybo as well.
