Started in the 1979/80 Season.

Them were the days when you got 3 minutes League highlights on Match of the Day on a Saturday night.

Only found our many many years later that Kevin Sheedy was part of that squad.

Liverpool won Leagues, League Cups and European Cups. But they never reached FA Cup finals. That was the big Saturday Soccer day at the end of the season. It used to really piss me off.

Former Coventry great Steve Ogrizovic there had forgot he played briefly for Liverpool.

Oggie was / is a gentleman. Got to know him at college in the Midlands in the 90s.

Liverpool, 1981 after an interview on Pebble Mill at 1. Phil Neal was definitely there and in my head, Paisley, Terry MC and King Kenny were there too. Interviewed after the European Cup Final. It was the success that pulled me in  :D

Quite possibly the saddest post I've ever seen on here - and I'm including ED Unique's entire post history in that statement

So far, the authorities seem determined to finish it, thankfully.

I don't see any reason why they shouldn't, despite what some vested interests are saying. Extend the contracts for a couple of months, take six weeks in July/August/September as necessary, then start next season in early October. Shelf the cups for a season if needed to get next year's league done.

As the pandemic allows it, of course.

Domestic cups might be cancelled for a year. But the big sponsors/UEFA are going to want to play the Champions League. Too much money involved in that to just shelve it for a year.

There does seem to be a desire to finish this season but it has little to do with footballs integrity or the wish to see the rightful champions crowned. It's all to do with money, could be a defining moment in football history....

Virgin media 3 showing all Liverpools goals in last seasons champions league on now.

Liverpool deserve the title but I can't see a fair way to end this. Players who have signed contracts to go else where might find it difficult to simply extend. If the league can be finished safely it's the best option but I don't think it's fair to damage next season to get this one finished. Everything will depends on what happens with this virus mind and things are not looking great in England.
