Quote from: From the Bunker on April 06, 2024, 12:40:40 PMNo, I didn't see the earlier bit or know about it. Why have MDMA still there, if he had said his bit? I don't like Brolly, that my prerogative. He craves attention. His stories are renowned for the I was talking to such and such and that was the magic formula for winning the AI.
I understand you are from Derry and have a different perspective or Loyalty. And good for you!

The format of the Late Late is that the first guest stays on and plays a small part in the subsequent discussion. Brolly is a bit of  a windbag, but the format of the show was what you would expect.

The Cringe bit was that MDMA was the topic of the subsequent discussion.  ;D

Quote from: From the Bunker on April 06, 2024, 12:01:20 PMJust watched Brolly and MDMA on Youtube.

12 minutes of an interview. Interview dominated by Brolly, All bar a couple of seconds given to MDMA.

Told a couple of stories about MDMA - With MDMA giving him the That's not what really happened Stare.

Then there was the touchy feely stuff during all of this with Brolly. MDMA a guest who ended up an audience member. You can see at the end MDMA is anxious to get the f*** out of there. Cringe!

So you didn't bother watching the 10/15 mins before that where Paddy was talking to Michael Darragh on his own and in particular about his families experience with organ donation. Brolly was brought on as a guest along side Michael Darragh after that interview. But sure why let facts get in the way of the fact you need to let the rest of us know how much you dislike Brolly.

One County (Dublin) get to play all their important Championship games at home. Does this happen in any other sport?

Quote from: nrico2006 on April 02, 2024, 09:09:17 AMDune 2 seems to be well regarded but Dune 1 was average enough.

Dune 1, was setting the scene for the franchise. Building the story and characters. This can be laborious. You'd expect Dune 2 to have more freedom.

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on April 01, 2024, 08:11:58 PMArmagh went way back from Last year, I don't know if Armagh supporters can see it, but their whole game is all about sitting very deep, it just doesnt work.
Hoping yesterday was just a bad day at the office. Lack of intensity and Donegal were able to get space in and around the D very easily which is worrying and you'd hope that won't happen come championship.

We seem to set up defensively to match defensive teams, we did it against Monaghan last year too and it really doesn't suit us. If Derry were playing Donegal they'd impose their own gameplan and take the game to them whereas we don't. We looked good for ten minutes yesterday when we took the handbrake off and played to our strengths. Chaos suits us.

Yesterday was a Division 2 final, once promoted this game is nothing more than a run out for most teams. Especially teams who have been in the first division recently.

Many on here were comparing it to the Division One final where there was a LEAGUE TITLE to be won. Naturally the intensity for that game would be greater.

7 or 8 for 5 Qtr Final places.

There are two contenders for Sam - Kerry and Dublin.

Quote from: Caitlin on April 01, 2024, 08:51:15 AMThe best bit of yesterday for Liverpool fans was seeing Guardiola trying to humiliate Grealish. Pep has every right to manage as he sees fit but that was a show for the cameras, and was about power and control rather than instruction. Maybe there's some underlying resentment about his fee or his behaviour after winning the European Cup, but this was pathetic from the Spaniard. Grealish is a brilliant player and while I was disappointed he chose England, he had every right to, and he seems like a decent lad. For his self-respect he should leave- unless Pep beats him to it.

What happened

Pep gives Grealish a going over

2011 Kerry, Mayo 2017 had the opportunity of beating Dublin and found ways to lose I doubt Derry will do the same if given the same opportunity this summer.

Before you get on your high horse, They made hard work of today after being in two comfortable positions? Derry have also to navigate a tough province to get seeding.

Also, remember this is the League, it's great to win and for confidence. But it means FA in the summer.

That's the first time that a Dublin team has lost a final at home in a long time.

Great result. Being in front on the home front is a big part of winning a title race.

They should merge themes like GAA and country music

In fairness, PK will know a bit more about the GAA than the previous plebs who hosted the LLS.
