Messages - THE MIGHTY QUINN

I see the Westies are now kicking up over a proposed new Council financed 3G pitch in Falls Park. If it was me I wouldn't invest a penny anywhere in the area because that's really the way they want it. Happier with nothing because it allows them to be happy complaining about how unhappy they are

Great to still be in The Championship in August

Folks I would urge caution in relation to any comments posted here about this incident. Knowing Willie and his mates, they would gladly use stuff like that to tarnish the GAA and indeed, perhaps, try to compare us with those Israelis, on the hills above Gaza, who are cheering the actions of the IDF.  Setting aside the absurdity of what happened, a man has lost his life and his loved ones are in mourning, let's not forget that

This is the equivalent of someone attacking somewhere in the christian
world on a Christmas night

Death toll on Gaza side how higher than the combined UK and Argentine losses in the Falklands war

Lidl and tesco always have the country of origin on their fruit and veg. I've been using that information to boycott Israeli goods for years.  I also boycott Caterpillar as they supply heavy moving equipment to the IDF

Oh the joys of sleepless nights, was fortunate enough the girls were great sleepers and didn't give too much annoyance, the one rule though was never let them get into a routine of sleeping in your own bed, the odd night (and I mean they've been in their own bed but came in during the night) is fine.

Think my wife grew to hate me for a period when one of the kids would have cried before bed briefly, I would have let her cry on, of course this was after we knew she'd been fed poohed and winded. I miss those days, now they cry all the time, need money for this need money for that, asked them to clean their room is like the worst thing on earth!!

Oh the joys......
Enjoy these days. You have sleepless nights ahead. The sleepless nights of a parent waiting for a teenager to return home after a night out. A worse level of sleeplessness than you experienced when they were kids

No.

So, you say people from your area protested about something?

You for real?
Not from my area. It was about 7 miles away.

I'm confused. These protests aren't happening in west Belfast.

Maybe The Mighty Quinn can clear this up?

FWIW, if these people can't accept the wind tubines, I think they should stick a big Tesco on the land instead, or an abbatoir, or social housing or traveller housing.
I've no real problem with them. A guy tried to put a couple up a few miles away from where I live. I wasn't too bothered. Main protesters were farmers even though they can build a red tin riffed shed the size of a Tesco without ant planning approval or consultation. Just to clarify something I asked you some time ago about the number of Casement residents who would lose afternoon/ evening sunshine and how many hours they would lose. I have always said that I support their right to compensation or to be allowed to sell up and move.  Did you ever get that info?

I drove past the Garth Brooks Boulevard in Oklahama City this morning. I made sure I kept my mouth shut.  Chances are any man going down that street with an Irish accent could get his head kicked in

On a much more serious note, where exactly does the big guy live in the States?  I'm touring over here at the moment and I wouldn't want to bump into him. The sound of an Irish accent could put him over the edge

It all boils down to the begrudging attitude of some people. Rather than look at the rich man and think' I wanna be that man', better to look at him and think, ' I wanna get that b**tard'
haha

FFS listen to yourself.
Priceless coming from a man with a chip on both shoulders

Some classic stuff here. Regardless of how much you hate him, and I detest him, fact is that the country and the GAA, the organisation most of us are members of, have lost a lot of money. Reminds me of the time The Beatles Apple Boutique went bust and the Fab Four were allowed their pick of the clothes the night before it closed.  Their biographer wrote -  they gleefully went through the stuff, picking out what they wanted, as if it was coming for free. They didn't seem to appreciate for one moment that the stuff had been bought with their own money in the first place
