Tyrone / Re: Tyrone Club Football and Hurling

Its alright but the white text on the dark red background is just clueless from the designers, very difficult to read. The fixtures and results are as difficult to find as always, too many clicks to get anything on that side bar. The home page to me looks just like a pile of pictures, took me a while to find out how to even find the fixtures

Its an improvement on the last one but i would by no means wax lyrical about it

Missus was away last weekend so I got my man films weekend in. I Let them build up for a month or two and then splurge when she is away

Terminator Salvation - Not bad, heard it wasnt great but i thought it was alright
Star Trek - Liked it but not as good as I heard
Red Cliff - I love these big martial art movies, thought it was good but probably not quite as good as Flying Daggers or Hero
3 Kingdoms - Better than I thought it would be but probably not quite as good as Red Cliff
Body of Lies - Very good, one of the better ones I have seen lately

You would want to be well put together to get away with wearing that French jersey, wouldnt fancy seeing some of our Junior D guys putting on one of those

Leitrim one is great (although it is not the best looking of sites) but it is a complete one man show, allegedly the guy is just on it 24/7 what will happen after the PRO steps down i dont know, is it too technical for someone else to update.

I am still a big fan of Antrims they do a great job up there and Downs is good too, results are up straight after the match is over, the pros of a lot of Down clubs are technically updating it for them. This should be the case as the County PRO has a huge workload as it is

I was wondering what Gaelic Telecom would think of Lisa Clancys email, I trhought the GAA were in bed with Gaelic Telecom already or is it just some of the county boards??

An embarrasment of riches it seems

Watched that Garage film with the missus, the both of us looked quizzically at each other at the abrupt ending. It wasnt bad i suppose but it was like a slow burner that never got going, I though Pat Shortt was quite good in it

General discussion / Re: How to fill the day?

Set yourself a goal..........I remember you trying to lose weight a while back, enter a triathlon or 1/2 marathon for early next year. Join a tri/athletics club near you, costs very little to buy a wetsuit, runners and cheap bike. Its no secret the fittest members of my club are unemployed, they are out there every day swimming running or cycling together.

Your sense of self worth will increase with an improved level of fitness, a few of the friends are unemployed spending their time on playstation, sleeping in till late afternoon, watching movies till the early hours, they are wallowing in their misery.

Try and do an hour on something every day......as the weight comes off your confidence will improve

Would the passenger have caused the aeroplane trouble in the first place by twittering to all and sundry that she was on a plane during the flight. I am going to keep away from twitter because you will get yahoos twittering about every nuance that happens to them in the day, I used to like facebook till you see some of my mates changing their profile every 20 minutes posting on my walls and basically filling up my page with shit. I meet some of them these days down in the pub and I can see them logging in on phone, I dont like them any more..........f**king eejits!

I did Nenagh triathlon, didnt find it too bad but I had borrowed a bike for the day so only used exercise bike till then. Had tried to run off the bike effects by doing "brick work"sessions (straight from the bike into run) but it still took me ages to get over the effects of the bike, legs were like lead even though I was feeling pretty good at that stage. I have only swam for about a year now, I got a swimming dvd called Total Immersion - Freestyle about 5 months ago and the swimming has come on in leaps and bounds since I got it. I am not noticably faster but i take way less strokes to get there so I can swim fairly long distances now and not be shagged after. Google it.............I got it on pirate bay, racing Tri Athlone next looking forward to it!

Statrted doing triathlons this year myself, I cant believe the numbers out doing them, becoming a very big sport in Ireland. Have you got the wet suit yet mayo4sam??  I find i cant swim in the pool at all any more since I got it, too boring. Awful easy to swim in the wet suit too,the legs hardly have to kick at all to keep balance with the lift

Why is the site so slow, every page takes about an hour to download, design isnt great either.

Good luck with it though

As an aside why do a lot of these GAA supporters clubs seem shrouded in mystery, who is on the committee for this endavour, is Mick Culhane still involved
