Firstly Gough, did favor Mayo with a lot of decisions in regular time, However he totally lost the plot in the last five minutes.

just watched it back four times, no way was it a free. That was the game right there as O donohue had the ball and was breaking away down the field

74.25 Dodgy overcarry free on Loftus, easily could have been a free to Mayo (you could blame Reape or Mchugh the latter punched passed it to Loftus, who had two galway men in close proximity) he could have blasted it down the field.
Anyway just thought i would point that out.

What do people think about international trips for GAA teams?

GAA in Europe has shot up over the last 5 years, there are over 100 clubs all over Europe now. There seems to be huge potential in team bonding trips overseas, as you'd see in soccer, rugby, hockey etc... I'm not talking about County teams going away for warm-weather training camps now, I'm talking about trips for casual football, Hurling/Camogie tournaments. I see lots of G4MO teams going on trips to France and Spain lately.

(I'm a member of a European GAA club FYI)

Would such a trip be a good idea or does this have no place in the GAA?

If they lost in Ulster and did draw in Kerry Dublin section in the qualifiers they might be better placed to avoid Dublin to the final If they managed to progress that far, food for thought.

Not true. Semi-finals pairing are based on a draw, unless two of the four have met in the group stages, I.E Derry v Monaghan met in group stages in 2023, therefore no need for a draw for semis.

I went off giving out about refs for lent and will stick with it. Like players, ref's will obviously make mistakes, that's the rub of the green. Hand on heart I don't think a ref ever goes out to go easier on one horse in a two horse race. It's always in my mind too that the ref, during any passage of play will most likely be viewing a passage of play from a different angle than myself.
