World Cup next year will be some mess unless they get the air-con in every stadium.

https://www.rte.ie/news/leinster/2025/0701/1521220-slane-bypass/

Bypass for Slane - main N2 road passed by Meath CC.

Was rejected in 2012 due to it being a heritage area. They went back to the drawing board and resubmitted it....over 10 years later.

A long drawn out process.

Quote from: DaleCooper on Today at 09:23:21 AMDeviancy has always existed but the Internet has really supercharged this. Id say if you were to survey the population at large you'd find fairly terrifying results.

Was going to mention internet. It's opened up some opoortunities for everybody but with that comes the dark side also.

My fear is for the younger generations as time goes on. This has been discussed before but kids in P4 and P5 with phones. Crazy.

lets go back over the well trodden ground, who's not there that should be?

Big sweeping statements about men who are there and potentially men that are coming in. Plenty game time for reserve and back up players during the league this year and I don't know any who stamped any position down.
I've seen every team in senior league this year and bar Sean Kearney and maybe and its a big maybe Ryan Mc Nicholl theres no new faces banging on Tallys door.

None of the Newbridge lads??!!

Newbridge going well in league despite have 2or 3 lads on county panel. Only league I know but their panel must be decent.

Good solid base to work off there.

Sam Mulroy might get 1, as Louth won Leinster. That needs recognition I think.

Quote from: snoopdog on Today at 07:54:35 AMIf 6k seats cost 24 million then someone is taking a serious wedge out of Louth GAA.
Rte are muppets maybe they're costing it on their terms.

I'd say they're doing a lot more than a 6k stand.

Probably everything but it'll be a case of having the other 2/3 sides shovel ready so when they get more funding, it'll be ready to build from Day 1.

Kerry panel were fired up by comments by their own, including Dara O'Se. Especially after the Meath game. They were at a low ebb. Players were calling for more people to travel to Dublin to support them etc.

Hence then you saw the Armagh performance. Granted Armagh, were brutal in 2nd hlf but Kerry went for it. But there was a fire in Kerry. They were written off and came out fighting.

Only thing for me now is, can they do it again in 2 weeks?

Can they bring the same fire to CP again? I'm not so sure.

How do we stop this happening?

Lwt them have fun and don't make it as serious.

Parents have a lot to answer for.  ???

Is it the surface or their boots?

All week-end players have been slipping and sliding.

Clear body check on Kerry defender there by Grimley I think.

Right in front of referee.

Quote from: marty34 on June 29, 2025, 01:04:09 PMI think Tyrone supporters are a bit fickle. Happy one day, complain the next.

It was a good, solid win in Croke Park V Dublin. That's a positive.  Some players played well, others not so good. That's sport.

Who cares how they play? It's all about getting the win in knock-out games.

Tyrone, or any team, will not be a 10 out of 10 performance in every game. Go to games and have that in the back of your mind.

Mc Curry wasn't great yesterday but is a good player. Mc Curry can't be 10 out of 10 in every game either. It'll be different players, at different times, in different games that'll work. That's the way it goes.

Every game must be taken on it's own merits, a stand alone game. Win it, by whatever way, is all that matters.

If Tyrone fans think they'll win every game by 25pts and everybody scores 5pts each, then they're very naive.

Have a bit of realism.

Realism is acknowledging that yesterday was a pretty poor game and both sets of forwards struggled. Realism is also seeing that McCurry didn't have a good game and neither did Dara until the last 10-15 mins.

It's seems to be yourself that is imagining stuff. I don't see anyone here saying we should be winning by 25 points and scoring 5 points each. You're just building a straw-man there.

Both Matty Donnelly and Peter Harte said it was a flat game and the 2 teams didn't play to their potential. I don't see why we have to pretend on here that Tyrone forwards played well.

My point is who won? Everything else is irrelevant.

Tyrone scored more than Dublin.

As I say, different players, at different, in different games will pull teams through.

In AISF some players will not play well, others will be fantastic.

That's sport.

Have lads the wrong boots on?

A lot, on both teams, are slipping and sliding.

Hampsey dived there to win that free.

Never touched.

I think next new rule is that they should make the posts another 6ft wide.

Some of the shooting in gaelic football is brutal.
