So the FBI had proof that the Clinton campaign was going to "tie" Trump to Russia in an effort to distract from the e-mail problem yet her campaign manager Marc Elias declined to be interviewed

Rudy's some buck judging by the lawsuit filed yesterday.

For those with short memories, the GOP-lead Senate committee found that Russia HAD interfered in the 2016 election. As for collusion smoke, there was Trump's campaign chairman who got into major trouble for his ties to Russian intelligence, there was the Trump Tower meeting, there was Stone working with Assange on the emails, there was/is Trump's servile relationship with Putin. Afterwards there was Trump obstructing justice every step of the way as the investigations did get underway and declining to be deposed due to right media warnings about perjury traps. This stuff wasn't dreamt up out of whole cloth like certain individuals would have you believe.

Blah blah blah

Russia Russia Russia

A bunch of frigging crap

8)
Even  Prigozhin, the founder of the Russian bot farm in St. Petersburg, admitted the massive interference in support of Trump in 2016 and will do so again. For now the Kremlin bot goal is 'to get the Republican base clamouring for a drawdown in U.S. support for Ukraine'. Whitey and Gmac being fully paid up idiots aboard that Kremlin bot.

Sam Greene, a professor of Russian politics  in UK considers this tactic to be
'a tall order considering  half of that base want to bash Biden for supporting Ukraine, the other half for not supporting Ukraine enough'.

The only serious effective tactic left for Russia's bot farms are to get fully behind Trump's election campaign.

So you have intelligence agencies interfering in 2016 with the Russia hoax and subsequently sabotaging 3 years of Trumps presidency dealing with fallout from said hoax then 2020 you have 51 high up current and former intelligence agents signing a fake letter saying the hunter biden laptop was  Russian disinformation and so were the contents which implied the bidens are involved in all sorts of criminal activity , the 2020 election may well have been stolen and the Jan 6 *insurrection* was an intelligence operation from the jump to entrap and remove trump from the scene permanently , doesn't seem like a huge jump anymore

We have the deep state putting their thumb on the scale for the  Democratic candidate  in 2 consecutive Presidential elections.

I'm not at all shocked that hard core right wingers decided to take matters into their own hands on January 6th given what has happened

I ask, once again, where the actual Russian interference and connections to the Trump campaign fits into your "narrative"?

No red flags in any of the following? There was never anything whatsoever to see here?

The Committee found that the Russian government engaged in an aggressive, multi-faceted effort to influence, or attempt to influence, the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.

WikiLeaks actively sought, and played, a key role in the Russian influence campaign and very likely knew it was assisting a Russian intelligence influence effort.

The FBI gave the Steele Dossier unjustified credence, based on an incomplete understanding of Steele's past reporting record. The FBI used the dossier in a FISA application and renewals, and advocated for it to be included in the Intelligence Community Assessment before taking the necessary steps to validate assumptions about Steele's credibility.

The FBI lacked a formal or considered process for escalating their warnings about the Democratic National Committee (DNC) hack within the organization of the DNC.

The Committee assesses that at least two participants in a June 9, 2016, meeting with Trump Campaign officials, Natalia Veselnitskaya and Rinat Akhmetshin, have significant connections to the Russian government, including the Russian intelligence services.  The Committee, however, found no reliable evidence that information of benefit to the Campaign was transmitted at the meeting, or that then-candidate Trump had foreknowledge of the meeting.

The Committee found no evidence that anyone associated with the Trump Campaign had any substantive private conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the April 27, 2016, Trump speech held at the Mayflower Hotel.

Paul Manafort's presence on the Trump Campaign and proximity to then-Candidate Trump created opportunities for Russian intelligence services to exert influence over, and acquire confidential information on, the Trump Campaign.

George Papadopoulos was not a witting cooptee of the Russian intelligence services, but nonetheless presented a prime intelligence target and potential vector for malign Russian influence.

Russia took advantage of members of the Transition Team's relative inexperience in government, opposition to Obama Administration policies, and Trump's desire to deepen ties with Russia to pursue unofficial channels through which Russia could conduct diplomacy.

Or leaving all that aside, you see absolutely no reason why there was such skepticism about the laptop at the time? You know more than the NYT, the WSJ, even Fox News news side, who wouldn't touch what Giuliani was selling before he finally got the NY Post to bite? The same Giuliani who stated, publicly, that there was a 50% chance that he was being played?

And seriously whitey, you, who appear to be fairly intelligent, now trying to justify, from their perspective, a violent, deadly riot that was directly inspired and fomented by a president attempting to steal a national election?

Pathetic.

Joe spoke at a black college on Saturday about white supremacy being the biggest threat to America then magically the next day a hundred guys show and march in Washington DC from a new group called  patriot front all with faces covered and sunglasses on , it looked completely staged to go along with narrative .  How dumb do they think people are

Keep those "facts" and "clear thinking" coming Gmac. ;D

cnn and msnbc  broadcasted lies for 5/6 years to help destroy a president do you still watch ?

J70

This is why you cannot be taken seriously.

1.   Assuming for the sake of argument that losing an election is being "taken down", Trump wasn't taken down by anyone or anything other than his own policies, rhetoric and lies. People were sick to the back teeth of his poisonous circus act, including (just from 2020!) his naked attempts, before and after the election, to steal it; his politicization of the pandemic; and his racist, reactionary response to the George Floyd tragedy. So sick, in fact, that they were willing to settle for an old moderate, amicable politician who couldn't get within an asses roar of the presidency on multiple previous occasions when he was much more vital. Biden was Anybody Other Than Trump. And he will be again if the right insists on trying to foist that utter sc**bag and his "retribution" tour back onto the nation.

2.   You lecture others on "lies" on the part of CNN and MSNBC while the right wing, especially Fox News, have literally just been (very expensively) exposed before the world as cynical hucksters who are more concerned with feeding right wing paranoia to preserve their audience than in reporting news and facts. And when you are literally pushing paranoid nonsense about a gang of white supremacists marching in DC in an attempt to downplay the real threat from this movement a week and a year on from mass murders carried out by their fellow travelers. All because you find it politically inconvenient that they exist.

You can keep twisting yourself in circles all days making excuses for the FBI.

The bottom line is on face value while there may have been some "legitimate" initial suspicions (and that's one heck of a stretch I'm making to appease you) of contact, when exculpatory evidence presented itself  the FBI either ignored, downplayed or flat out buried it to keep the investigation going

Meanwhile the intelligence agencies actually knew and had proof that the Clinton campaign were embarking on a distraction campaign to tie Trump to Russia

J70

How was it a stretch to think there might have been fire behind all that smoke?

As usual, you ascribe the worst possible interpretation and motives to the Dems or anything you perceive as sympathetic to them, justifiably or not, while treating the right with kid gloves.

I'm not ascribing anything to them

They hatched and executed a plan aided and abetted by the FBI and their Pulitzer winning friends in the  media
