3.  Barry Owens
4. Kieran McKeever
5. Henry Downey
6. Kieran McGeeney
7. DJ Kane
8. Anthony Tohill
9. Paul McGrane
10. Brian McGuigan
11. Greg Blaney

Downs 2 coincided with the kingdom being on the wane,  feck me in 91 the played against Pat Spillane and Eoin Listen both over 40 - a joke. most Down men I know accept that.   Tyrones last 3 wins involve a fine Kerry team with multiple all ireland capability that simply cant and wont beat us.  Undoubtedly the first decade of the new millenium will be remembered by GAA historiams as even more significant than the 1970s so called golden era.  Lets put it another way a good kerry team normally wins sam but in the 70s they didnt get it all their own way yet they still dominated bigtime.  Step forward to 2009 and kick the dubs out of your equation and put Tyrone in, challenging the kingdoms powerful football, their slick pr machine and their animal supporters (sheehy) and replacing them at the top of the tree.  If I had one regret for the last decade is that so few people are intelligent enough to realise that they are living through history and there are so few intelligent analysts who can at least tell those people to remember where they were when Canavan scored that delicate daisycutter, when Mulligan scored the finest goal any living gael has been lucky to witness  or when wee Dooher rode Big Dara O Ses kockout clothesline shoulder to steer over the greatest point ever seen in an all ireland final. I was lucky enough that my da appreciated real class and took me along to see the great Kerry team, of the early 80s,  I suggest if we are unsure about the current players that we ask someone older and wiser and they will tell us.

The Aristocrat Years

eireogatron

Clarke won young footballer of the year in 02, along with 2 all stars. this could merit his name in bold  - going by these parameters.

5 sams - i updated Mickey's award for 94.

Disclaimer There could be other mistakes as well.

eireogatron - I only mentioned footballer of the year and not young player of the year. I have no doubt Ronan will add another award or two to his total in the near future.
