Dire stuff again this summer from the club management. It just isn't ever going to change while the same people are change.

Too many of the playing staff are not of the required quality to challenge, so reinforcements are clearly needed. But I suspect most would rather see youth team players get a run than have the club make all the same mistakes over again.

Spending an entire summer begging uninterested players to consider the club was a disaster last time. And the time before that. And it is looking like a disaster once again. Keeping other guys at the club when they want out is another recipe for failure.

Then we have the coup de grace - panic buying a couple of absolute shitheads with long track records of stirring crap at previous clubs. And just a matter of weeks after the club finally managed to rid themselves of a pile of the same sort of characters.

United are definitely a hard sell at the minute, but surely there were enough of the right sort of young, hungry prospects out there that were willing to take a punt on the club? What exactly has the transfer strategy been this summer? It's genuinely difficult to identify another PL club with such an incoherent vision.
Doc would listen to any kind of nonsense and change it for you to a kind of wisdom.

From the Bunker

22 Wins 5 draws and  11 losses booked 4th spot for Spurs last season.

Not a huge ask?

Clubs with bigger Squads should finish the season stronger. Man u v Brighton should be a completely different fixture when they next meet.

No matter how weak people perceive Man u are, they still have the guts of some decent players.
Many who with a bit of structure and confidence could do damage. Important to get some one solid this window and some one solid in January.

Man Utd have 2 modes- glory glory and mediocre.
It depends on the manager and the context.
2 managers have operated in glory glory mode - Busby and Fergie (time).
When Busby retired in 1969, a series of managers presided over mediocrity until 1986, when Fergie took over.
Fergie left in 2013 . It's only 9 years so far.

Man Utd are very poor because of the Glazers so you would think that the share price would be high, with the club flogging all those jerseys in Asia.
But in fact the share price reached a peak in 2018 and has been falling since then.

Interesting and depressing thread from @delpieri on twitter about the state of the club. No wonder everyone who supports other teams rejoiced when Fergie left. No other manager would have been successful post Glazer takeover for eight years. Could actually be in a relegation battle this season with the players we have. And it's only now I really realise how much trouble Liverpool could have been in if they continued with the previous owners. They managed to sort their shit out and are the only club who actually can give city a run for their money. Hard to be confident about any of the first six matches this season. And we all know how brittle the players are if going gets tough.

I've said it since 2005. The club will never be right with these owners and the only thing that will make them leave is fans boycotting the club. Don't buy merchandise, don't go to the games, lobby sponsors......if done successfully they'll cash in their chips a feck off.....hopefully with a well reduced value of the club.

There isn't any current Man United player who would make it into the starting 11 of Man City or Liverpool, not 1. Some amount of money has been wasted since Fergie left.
Can't remember the last time they have made a decent signing. Harry Maguire has to be the biggest flop of all time.
Long long way back for Man United with that current squad.
It's a sad state of affairs when they are relying on a near 40 year old Ronaldo and a guy with a pacemaker to win them matches.

Your supporters group(s) might want to pick up the phone to somebody from Spirit of Shankly for a few tips as to how to remove some yank stains from your club!
That's just, like your opinion man.

If things had remained as they were under the previous owners Liverpool were on the brink of administration never mind relegation battles.  It was the power of supporters that got them out.

Utd are a f**king mess and it will probably take another 2-3 years of mediocrity before the Glazers are forced out. Things will probably need to get worse before they can get better.

Depends on how long they can ride the gravy train / suck finance from the club. Don't appear to be under any immediate pressure anyway to sell to middle Eastern oil concerns.

Not sure Liverpool fans would want to help. ;D

If i was a Man U fan i'd want the Glazers gone too but at least in your case the funds have always been there to buy top players.  That wasn't the case with the two Yank tossers at Liverpool.
